There's a new show on Fox called Ultimate Tag that is coming on May 20th on Fox. It looks like people need to do obstacles and prevent a person from tagging them. Based on the comments, it looks like from the comments that former American Ninja Warrior competitor Jesse LaFlair is part of creating the show.

Looks like one of those shows with the same obstacles every week and nothing else interesting to set it apart. And with it being yet another show filmed in a dark building, it lacks atmosphere. Getting huge Million Dollar Mile vibes from the course and huge Can't Touch This/Total Knockout vibes from the set location.

I'm getting Million Dollar vibes from this as well. The one thing is that it looks faster paced. Million Dollar Mile just felt slow paced. I hope this is faster. It's almost certain by now that there won't be any ninja coming on in May/June so this might be the best thing. The fact that Jesse LaFlair seems to be involved somehow makes it more interesting that I otherwise would be. I REALLY HOPE it is good.

It's like a mix of Million Dollar Mile and Hip Show.

It's like a mix of Million Dollar Mile and Hip Show. Choose to combine two shows and those are your two choices. So this show will probably do one better than Million Dollar Mile and not only be slotted in the middle of the night but end up being outright cancelled after a few episodes 🤨

Apparently, the show was taped about a year ago. This makes me wonder if we might be hearing about Big Bounce Battle in a few months since that was taped last Summer.

I think it will be a matter of when and not if Big Bounce Battle will be shown. If they have a show filmed and new shows aren't going to be filmed, they might as well throw it out there.

Honestly, it's not amazing but it's entertaining enough. It's fast paced and I do like that. They give a very brief introduction to the contestants. It reminds me a lot more of Gladiators than it does Ninja. It was cool to see some parkour in it. It's a fun show and I do like the taggers in this. Also, it seems like the competitors are actually serious athletes as well rather than feel good stories that have no chance.

Not watched it yet so curious to know.

Not watched it yet so curious to know. Different competitors. And there will be different taggers. Some of the tagger roster haven't even made an appearance yet. I feel like there will be different events. I don't know that for a fact but the third event for the men was different than the third event for the women. That gives me a feeling that there will be a variety of third events but I'm not sure on that.

Hmm... as I said I haven't watched so I can't just be negative for the sake of it, but I wouldn't be surprised if those are the only two third rounds. Kind of like how ANW Jr. has several different courses, but uses them all every week. This just reminded me of Million Dollar Mile, which I think is why I am cynical. Okay, turns out I can be negative without watching it . I will try to check it out soon tho!

The third event seems to be one of two alternating between the men and the women. Also, it seems like the women are fast forwarded through.

Also, it seems like the women are fast forwarded through. Unfortunately, they just might not be as exciting as the men. In one of the events (episode 2, I think), one of the female taggers couldn't tag anyone and eventually ran out of energy. The competitors just ran past her until she swapped out with another tagger.

I actually stand corrected here. The most recent episode fast forwarded through the men. But it appeared the females were more interesting. I think it just comes down to who is more interesting in the third event.

Last week was a close one. Brock the stunt man had the fastest time of the season so far at 38 seconds, while Fernando the parkour instructor finished in 40 seconds with the second fastest time. Fernando won because he had a 3 second advantage going in, so he needed to beat 41 seconds. Each also had a 5 second penalty from getting tagged.

Last night, Thomas the parkour instructor from Canada finished with a record 27 seconds and no tags. He was being chased by La Flair, and we barely even saw the second pro tagger.
