Rewatching Sasuke 22's stage 3 cuz well... why not? And I think it was before Yuuji's run (before he started the arm rings), they said All-star (japanese words here) Levi Meeuwenberg. Can anyone verify that they called Levi an All-Star?

I believe they were listing all the people who had failed, ie. All Stars and Levi and ... etc.

He hasn't performed well enough consistently to be an all-star.

Why would he be? His results are like a countdown. 3! 2! 1!
But in all serious.. Wait.. OK, Serious.. He's not an All Star and never will be, an American will never be an All-Star either

The All-Stars are the All-Stars. That's it. Probably should've used "nani mo arimasen" (there are no more), but them's the breaks. /iow, the only All-Stars that were, are, or will be, are the All-Stars now //Don't say you didn't learn nothing from no thread

In any case, it might very well be that the announcer was saying Levi was an All-Star but was mistaken.
I learned nothing from this thread.

The part bigblind is referring to is before Kanno starts the rings (not Urushihara):
All-Stars mo inai. Levi Meeuwenberg mo inai. Pro athlete mo inai.
Roughly: There are no All-Stars. Or Levi Meeuwenberg. Or (any) pro athletes.
They're grouping Levi with the All-Stars and athletes but not saying he is an All-Star.

Honestly, I'm not sure if rock climbing even qualifies as an action sport. Same with free running.
I wish I remembered to send my questions to Luci.

They both are, technically, because they both are "perceived as having a high level of inherent danger."
I would place rock climbing on the low end of that spectrum, though.

They probably meant current athletes
