As the title says, what do you think about ANW putting fake times up all over the place on runs? Also forgetting to edit out the 8:25 clock on stage 3 run making it obvious for even those who weren't there.

It wasn't the first time they did that. USA vs. The World with Team Japan Third Stage and Owen McKenzie's Five Minute First Stage Run.

WARNING: Accidentally off-topic post
In season eight, the first two episodes were shown on Wednesdays, as well as Philly qualifying airing at 9 PM instead of 8.
Is this one permanent (I'm pretty sure I remember reading that it's only the first two episodes again, but I could be remembering another thing). If so, it feels like it could be signs of lack of interest in the show, but then it seems popular as ever so probably not!

I know they have done it ALOT to try and make runs look more dramatic/let people clear etc, but then they straight lie and make it a point to dub over pointing out the times on top of it.

As a fan it's really frustrating. I can understand a second or two not perfectly lining up, but why have a huge gap in time of what it actually is and what they say it is. It's really baffling to me. I get it that the show is entertainment and not a sport but I like some sense of reality and they should be honest.

Been happening for a long.. long time.. Before we'd get into fights about it with people being called out as liars but it happens so blatantly now that people are just used to it by now. In the past it was a big deal. Now.. not so much. No one cares anymore.

Oh sorry about that! Yeah, that's one of the things that I despise about this. Even when it doesn't effect the final results, it makes it less legitimate and makes close finishes less exciting. You just can't know when you can believe them.

Remember when Evan Dollard actually qualified for vegas in ANW 6 but NBC made it like he didn't.

Remember when Evan Dollard actually qualified for vegas in ANW 6 but NBC made it like he didn't. But atleast they fixed it in a way by giving him the wildcard so luckily not too much damage done there. But it's still stupid as hell

Just out of interest, when is the last time this happened? We had Brent in ANW 4, USA vs. The World too, Evan in ANW 6, Owen in USA vs. The World 4 ... but has it happened more recently?

Personally I don't mind the time issues as much when it doesn't effect the overall results. If they take a few minutes off someones run to add drama that isn't so bad as manipulating the time so someone wins when they shouldn't.

15+ minute kacy Dallas finals run to add to list. I think Josh Levin stage 3 time as well.
But seems like a normal occurrence for them to twist storylines or hide giving people extra time etc.

Meagan Martin 19 minutes City Finals Run and ANW All Star Special 3 She really took 19 minutes to run the course? Have you ever watched her on the course she moves like molasses plus her lack of height that is why I think she will never complete stage 1 in Vegas ever. Megan is the second most over hyped female in ANW outside Kacey.

Remember when Evan Dollard actually qualified for vegas in ANW 6 but NBC made it like he didn't. Him getting a wildcard was a innocent mistake. The timer for Ben Melick's run was glitched and that's why they thought he qualified and not Evan. They caught this and gave Evan a wildcard spot in Vegas. They gave a lot of 16th place competitors wildcard spots too.

Tbh... while it shouldn't happen at all, if it doesn't impact the results and is only done to add to the impact of a run, which is becoming the normal use these days, I can tolerate it. The moment it descends into actually affecting results is when it crosses the line.

It's annoying that it happens at all because then we can't know when they're telling the truth, but as GlobalNinjaFan and tyler have said, as long as it doesn't affect results (eg: difference between winning a heat in USA vs the World, clearing, etc.) I'm alright with it. Honesty is the best policy.

It has affected results in the past as was mentioned a few times but people don't care anymore as they are conditioned to accept it.
