Hello, for ninja warrior you have to do many types of workout - like climbing, specific obstacle training, running and bodyweight exercises, parkour etc. But how often is good to do all these types of workouts? Write your opinion.
thanks

I run around on my stupid backyard course for an hour a day. Calisthenics suck and are boring. I wouldn't recommend taking my advice lol

My weekly program: MONDAY: Rock climbing TUESDAY: Gym: pullups & other stuff WEDNESDAY: Rock climbing THURSDAY: Morning - Core exercise & Finger board drills Evening - Gym: ring exercises & other stuff FRIDAY: Rock climbing SATURAY: Gym: pullups & other stuff SUNDAY: Rest day, but in the morning I'll do a little 15 minute finger board exercise.
I do this program 3 weeks straight and every fourth week I'll have a rest week (In a rest week I train normally at monday, tuesday and wednesday, but the other days I do nothing). Then I repeat...
I have trained like this for a year now. Before that I had no experience about ninja warrior training. But I have 8 year background from track and field (long jump) and that has given me a great base for ninja training. Finger strength is definitely my biggest weakness and that's why I have a lot rock climbing and finger board drills so I could increase my finger strength as well as possible.

Everyday: I hang off this. Hang off that. Leg day doesn't exist for me (in saying that, I do do leg exercises everyone now and again). I climb trees. Hang off more things.

I do two days per week (usually Tuesday & Saturday) of strength training with weights - this includes weighted pullups on the cliffhanger. One day is sort of cardio meshed with sprints/explosiveness workouts. Two other days will be dedicated more to obstacles; the cliffhanger, climbing trees, body prop/planet bridge, etc. I rest two days per week, making sure to do stretching.
I can break it down further into the specifics if you'd like so you can see the exact stuff and the reasoning behind it.
