SASUKE 34 had some quiet (not all too well known) competitors do alright (made it to the second stage but not too deep into the course). Minami Ono failed the Salmon Ladder Nobori, which it appeared he really didn't have the technique for. He also nearly made some costly mistakes in the first stage; Shogo Ugajin make it to the Backstream but couldn't continue because he was incapable of swimming; Tatsuhiro Fujimatsu failed on the Salmon Ladder Nobori, it seemed he didn't have enough strength to keep going; Dai Igarashi once again failed the Salmon Ladder Kudari and; Nakagawa Takaharu fell on the Salmon Ladder Nobori.
If they all returned to Sasuke 35, how well would they go?

Well I think it comes down to how much they practiced the Salmon Ladder, because that seems to be their downfall. If they practice that, then they have a better chance at beating it. The rest of those obstacles don't require as much technique as the Salmon Ladder and is more of a speed run after that. I don't know these guys well enough to make a judgement on their speed, but if they practice the Salmon Ladder and have good speed then they can make Stage 3 (granted no mental lapses or careless mistakes are made in Stage 1).

I think it also depends on the difficulty of Stage One and how much it changes. Most of them are not that fast from what I have seen, they finished with around only a few seconds left on the first stage in 34, Dai Igarashi is a very fast competitor though, he gotten some of the better times in Sasuke 33 and 34 on the first stage.
