This may be a little off topic, and this also may have been answered before, but... can someone tell me why the Vertical Limit has holes above it? I don't really understand why those are there, why not just make it solid?

It's clear that Inui was drinking some Vodka while coming up with this UCCH and VLK combo without a break but I believe that with more intense training Yusuke,Drew, or both in the same tournament could achieve it.

I think someone can possibly do it
It'll be somewhat difficult but if the person can clear the ucch quickly (basically clearing it as fast as drew and not mistiming the jump), it might give x person enough stamina to clear the vlk. Then there's of course finger placement as well, a wrong timing during each transition to the next ledge of the vlk and could cost the person.
So I think it would be possible, but there can't really be any mistakes with the finger placement during each transition to the next ledge of the vlk, if they have the stamina to complete it.

the gap between the 2nd and 3rd ledge on the VLK is ridiculous. I can only see it being done if they got rid of the third ledge or added a break in between the UCCH and VLK, but i really hope people prove me wrong

Why did they make the transition from the VL (even the original) to the green resting bar so unnecessarily hard anyway?

I think Tomoa Narasaki can do it...but I think he might not be able to compete in Sasuke It would be epic seeing him. If he were to be invited (by TBS, without going through auditions or anything), it maybe even able to boost ratings.

Yeah I’m not aware of any of the politics so I was wondering what was keeping some of the top Japanese climbers (Tamoa, his brother, Akiyo Noguchi, Miho Nonaka, etc) from participating. Wondering if it is a safety thing, Sasuke just isn’t popular enough to attract them, or if they simply are too busy. Maybe a combo of all three.

I think the climbers would do some real damage to the course, and after about 2 tournaments, one of them could beat the combo. The problem is, I highly doubt TBS wants a winner this soon after Yusuke. Just a theory, but who knows.

It is funny to think about this since Yusuke (used to, not sure if he still does) and Tomohiro both do rock climbing.

Are there any videos of people doing replicas of it? I think that until we see those, we won't see a live clear. If I recall correctly, this was the case with the UCH as well.

Yes, in fact FinSasuke did a replica of the entire 3rd Stage. It would be epic if FinSasuke could compete. Definitely. I'm not sure how much trouble he'd have on Stage 1 or 2, but if he got to Stage 3 I firmly believe that he could get a total victory. Also, he said in a Youtube comment that he might try out for Team Europe on the next USA vs. The World.

He reckons he doesn't have that much trouble on First of Second Stage obstacles, I think his height may help him as well.

I know they didn't do Flying Bar + Sidewinder Kai before UCCH but now I'm confident that Morimoto can beat if he just doesn't take too long in first obstacles.

I told you all Morimoto will pass it easily in 35.

I don’t think anyone will do it in 35, if for no other reason than the weather. Colder temps numb the finger tips, even with training.
