So I know there was a LOT of talk about him retiring if he failed Stage 1 in Sasuke 34. Do you guys think that same statement will be upheld in Sasuke 35?

I think it will be a few more tournements before a retirement.

Please, these polls about retirements are somewhat getting ridiculous. It's pretty fair at this point, when Yuuji nearly cleared the reverse conveyer, it shows clear proof that Yuuji's still got it. Especially that fact that he does display inexperience in swimming (and I'm a competitive swimmer, and seeing his technique could use a TON of improvement, even if he practice) of not being a strong swimmer in the backstream, but its pretty fair that Yuuji still have the endurance to somewhat keep up with the younger guys with Yusuke, Drew, etc. I still strongly believe that Yuuji can beat the course for the 3rd time. But who knows when it could happen.

I don't see Yuuji clearing the current Stage 3, but if he keeps up his training I can see him making it to Stage 3 a few more times.
