I'm just pasting NY review in here:
^Whoa!
First of all I'll say that I wasn't so impressed after watching the episode. It just wasn't too impressive emoticon It wasn't bad but it wasn't great.
First up I'll start on characters. Honestly on this they did really well and yes the characters DO look similar, anyone who disagrees emoticon
emoticon
But yeah I liked them and I found Fern to be funny. She was certainly the closest lookalike she had and miamigirl and I agree that she would be a believable sister of Fern. The somersaults really were a blast from the past emoticon
I agree that Shakrit and Plakung don't look too similar but from a distance they do, I think. Plakung's wig is his main similarity to actual Plakung though emoticon
As for the games, my thoughts were mixed. Slippery Wall and Final Fall being my higher-rated games already shows signs of error, mainly because Slip Way and Honeycomb Maze were SO BAD. The Honeycomb Maze felt really disconnected (due to the sound, as Dan said) and it had about half of the people clearing it. Slip Way was just awful. People cheating, nothing interesting. I never expected that Thailand's Slip Way could be made worse! Slippery Wall and Final Fall were just about what they should be and I thought the boat Show Down (and score-keeping) was really cool. The only suggestions I have here are to add a boat for Takeshi and put the scoreboard down near the bottom instead of having it come up full-screen and interrupt the game.
The show took forever to get started, and this may be the most negative point. I can't believe they took longer than TCT did on their first episode! Once it started, the games went by quickly enough (not too many interviews), but that's mainly because after Slippery Wall they'd already used up half of the show emoticon
They could definitely add two, maaaaybe three , games to episodes. I see this possibly happening.. emoticon I would much rather not have a set number of games and just have a range as the original show did. Keeps things less predictable. Hopefully they shake them up well and don't always have Slip Way or something.
It's strange how it's filmed in the middle of a park and people are just walking by and looking emoticon
Overall 5 out of 10.

Btw theirs editing skill is awful P.s. I'm a f***ing VNese

And this is episode 2:
The show always takes forever to get started (at least in this season), for the producers always make up a new story with new characters in each episode. If you don't understand Vietnamese, you may find it somewhat boring.

I tried showing to my in-laws this past weekend, but they can't even get past the beginning, haha. They can't handle the northern accents of the two main guys in the beginning of ep 1. I wanted them to give a review, but I might have to try watching myself without them.

Hold up let me find the article about this. (And you should prepare a translator as I’m lazy ) EDIT: The show has been officially cancelled. Due to the lack of interests and being underrated by the three main characters (Tran Thanh, Tu Long and Trung Dan) couldn’t express the personality of the characters and too boring acts so... cancelled until they can change the main actors. I will post as I watch.
Right off the bat I like the opening titles better than the Indonesian one. I like the drama of introducing Takeshi and Woonsen in the Castle. Dramatic lighting. Costumes look better than in Indonesias. These guys remind me of the TCT people. Like the rap. Oh buts he's got the same cheesey wig like TCT. Really like the rap! He's a younger Takeshi because in the other one the Takeshi guy is older than the sidekicks or whatever you call these people, but on this one, he is younger. The background screen in the castle looks like the Wifi signal. This guy is thin. Okay a little over the top. But you know it's TC so it's always over the top. Uck I'd like more games! How long is this intro taking. This intro is going on too long. Let's get to the games. Ooh Woonsen looks so much like the other one a little. Dramatic entrance. Seems like they have more people on the cast. Those people are taking it very seriously. Ha! Who's she calling for? Oh, Shakrit! You know how on TCT Woonsen was always smiling and not acting like a prisoner but on here she is acting like a prisoner. Is she gonna sing? Is she gonna sing? Did he just break into English? Has his mustache fallen off. Didn't it used to be together? It migrated? The guy on the left had a mustache that migrated.
Boat entrance of Shakrit. Cool! He missssses her so much. He's heartbroken. Very dramatic! The arrival of Plaku! The comic figure! No not back to this!
We may only be 10 minutes into it with no games but it feels like 20. Get to the games? Do you know what the significance of the black star is? Love the rolling entrance of Fern! Very cute! Oh gosh this is dragging. I think this is too much. How many minutes into it now are we? Next episode can not have such long an intro, right? Hopefully next episode does not have such long an intro. Oh my gosh just come on! Don't most Takeshi Castle fans like the games? Much more than whatever this is called? You know what? Fern has a hard time doing forward-rolls. Huh? He's kinda flirting with her isn't he? Lot of overacting. Yeah she's got the pink dye in it. Didn't Fern do that one time? I wonder what she's saying to him, with him in Vietnamese. How many minutes and still no game? Huh 17 minutes out of an hour show not counting the commercials. Maybe it's cheaper making this stuff where you've just got a camera pointed at a handful of people. Come on!
18 minutes 37 seconds until the challengers begin running toward the first obstacle finally. You know watching this last night I was much more impressed with the set, costumes and people but now that I watch it awake I think it is distasteful. Not back to the castle! At 18 minutes 37 seconds the competitors were charging toward the Slippery Wall but now we are back to Takeshi and the other guys. It is past 20 minutes! I may not finish this episode! Have they actually gotten people on an obstacle? 21 minutes 4 seconds until they actually start running. The Slippery Wall looks nice. I like the looks of the new game, I like that it’s got all the people. I’m less impressed. Oh yeah it’s very steep. I’m overall less impressed. I am not interested hardly. I do not have many other remarks about this game. It is now 26 minutes 13 seconds. That’s crazy. Plaku’s voice is annoying. My husband says Fern looks younger. Yes, maybe so. I can not understand. We are 29 minutes 6 seconds into the episode.
Slip Way looks reused.
