I've been thinking about this for a while. Most American game shows that are successful only last around 10-12 years. ANW is going on its 9th. However, it's still going strong. How much longer do you think it will be on the air?

It's only really on it's 4th year in the format you know (regionals/finals, Vegas). If they play their cards right they can ride this wave for another 10 years. Depends how saturated they get. It's not like NBC has anything to replace it and it's rivaling the top spot each summer in their timeslot. NBC hadn't had that in the 10 years prior. They'll milk this for as long as they can. They have no other replacement.

It's gonna run until at least 2020 I guarantee it, not sure on when it will end though...

Even if ratings are a little down this year it's easily pulling in over 5 million people an episode, any show that can do that on a relatively low budget is going to stick around

Definitely will last longer than something like The Voice which is on its 11th season in 5 years. If something shouldn't be twice a year, it's singing competitions.

I can see it running for years to come. It has created a shock wave in the US (ANW specialised gyms have opened, people are motivated to train more and more since they have an actual shot in competing in something related to SASUKE and some great inspirational stories appear here and there). We'll see...ANW wasn't great to start with but it got better and better. With those things being said I can see it lasting for quite a bit. 10 years is a bit farfetched but until 2020? Yeah, why not..

At the current rate, it has a few more years in it. It's not long though until people might get bored of the current format and want change, which could change the show for the better or the worse.

Haha me too. I think I'll be ready come ANW 9, but I can definitely see myself being fairly capable come ANW 10+.

Probably 2000 years, this show would become an official sport, before apocalypse.
