Overall this college edition was ok but not great With a whole new load of competitors we don't know, there wasn't really any investment and with them all wearing generic outfits it all became a bit of a blur, it's not like the course was that exciting. I guess the idea was to find a few new stars. The MIT guy with glasses was impressive and deserves a run on ANW proper and Taylor Armann deserves a run just because of her hotness (and she's quite good). I think this may be the wrong thread. Try this one instead.

One team will consist of Joe Moravsky, Josh Levin and Allyssa Beird (source)
That certainly looks like a powerhouse. Yea. Pretty much every team has been found out already a few pages back tho, but thanks for being vigilant in your search for info.

Did anyone see the latest promo for Team? Cause there's a HUGE spoiler...not sure if it's intentional...
It shows David Campbell and I believe Neil Craver facing off in the relay on the Invisible Ladder. That means that reigning champions Party Time is out in the first episode.

How are there 11 episodes? With 28 teams at 4 per episode, seven episodes will run through all of the teams. Add a wild card round to get the 8th team for the finals. Two episodes for the finals and the Championship relay adds up to 10 episodes.

TNW moving to USA is both good and bad.
It's good that it will have a strong lead-in like "Smackdown," but now it has to deliver in the ratings. Esquire-type ratings won't cut it anymore.

It's a lot of work just to get the eighth team into the finals. Two episodes to each produce a team that will run the replay again against each other at the end of the second episode. The wildcard team will have done a lot more racing than any of the seven champions. Wildcards are troubling anyway. The rules don't indicate how they are chosen. {Spoiler} If the team mentioned in the previous spoiler post does actually get knocked out in the first episode, you can pretty much guarantee they will be in the wildcard round even if they lose both heats. I posted rules I like in the College Ninja Warrior Thread (http://sasukemaniac.proboards.com/thread/6116/team-ninja-warrior-renewed-season). If not used for the show as a whole, at least they would make the wildcard choice transparent.

I assume there must have been some decent ratings last season for it to be taken up on USA, and anyway RAW does crap ratings and is consistently No.1 on USA so they won't have to deliver monster numbers

RAW and SmackDown are leading in ratings on USA but even then they're not really THAT high compared to what some networks get, for a 10 PM Tuesday slot Team Ninja Warrior should get survivable ratings on a network like Esquire, Smackdown is a decent lead in since it would bring in a crowd who likes watching athletic stunt show type things (Although a good chunk of Smackdown viewers may turn off their TVs and turn on the WWE Network for 205 Live but hey they might keep their TV on and use their PC and not use a game console to watch it)

The ring of fire looked liked the ninja killer during the broadcast, but there were only two fails on the obstacle. The swing jump took out four, will have to rewatch to make sure that is accurate. Even if it only took out two, the ring of fire caused the most significant delays during the runs. Good episode, despite DirecTV Now issues with USA towards the end of the episode. Hopefully Amazon considers this part of the Season 2 College Madness purchase. It's not a pattern, but this post (http://www.americanninjawarriornation.com/2017/3/29/15111780/full-team-ninja-warrior-season-two-cast) may give the first round match ups for the first seven episodes. Since the teams aren't in alphabetical order and the first four were on TV tonight and matched up 1.2 & 3.4, I'm going with it. The importance of winning line they give for this format is bush. Since Winner 1 faces Loser 2 in the first knock out round and Loser 1 faces Winner 2 in the second. The team that gets the most rest is the loser of round one. The thing to do would be narrowly lose round one if you're in the first heat to practice and take that to the second Knock out round. Awarding points, matched the results of the episodes. We'll see what they do with wild cards, but {Spoiler} Party Time should be out of wild card consideration. They had a decent point total but didn't make it to the relay round and could easily be eclipsed during the season.

I know more than two (and probably at least 5) failed the Ring of Fire.
Good episode! After watching I understood why they put it first even though it had no new obstacles

I was disappointed in that the previews spoiled the outcome so explicitly. You can usually put 2 and 2 together but this time they flat showed the end result in their last twitter ad. So no more previews for me lol

So no more previews for me lol Yep, that's why I avoid all kinds of promos, previews etc. They were spoiling like crazy last year and they still are. Last year, on the Esquire webpage, a clip even showed spoilers from a relay race from the finals weeks (!). It's beyond ridiculous. They want to show previews? Okay, show images from a round 1 race on the 2nd or 3rd obstacle.
Avoid all sorts of NW social media channels. You don't need them anyway.

AVOID americanninjawarriornation.com FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!
There's already a gigantic spoiler about one of the following episodes, outlining in detail the result (!) of a relay race. Why would people even watch TV then???
But yeah, I know that the biggest moron is me for even going on that site...

I am still surprised even Geoff Britten and his wife are still doing this.... maybe for the last time.
With Elet Hall quitting and Issac Caldiero MIA, this may be the last epic season for seeing all the good ninja stars out there in TNW.... minus Levi.

So episode 1 pulled in 942,000 viewers and was 15th place for the night in the 18-49 demographic...considering Smackdown more than doubled it though, doesn't seem great

Yep.. Changing channels did the trick! Now let's see how well it does in the next few weeks! Congrats TNW! Full list for the night.

I wasn't sure if this was considered a success or not but it appears that this was a great result for the first episode, hopefully they can keep the audience through the season.
