This has been a question of the century for me (century...?). Which is harder, Anw or Sasuke? I personally believe that both courses have their easys and hards, with Sasuke being tougher in the end (just my opinion....cch...). More importantly, What do you guys think?

To be honest... overall ANW has been tougher than Sasuke for a while now, but it wasn't always like that...
Sasuke's hardest stage 3 came from Sasuke 25, with the Roulette Cylinder combo at the start, the Floating Boards to drain strength, the UCH right after.... and that was just the first half! ANW used this as a base for its third stage, and the stage has only got more difficult since, making me lean more over to the side of ANW for 3rd stage difficulty. Even though I firmly believe the Sasuke Crazy Cliff-hanger is the most difficult obstacle ever created, the six obstacles of the RISING third stage (with some relatively easy obstacles such as the Drum Hopper, Curtain Cling or Rumbling Dice), just do not come together to match the ANW 6 or 7 3rd stage in terms of difficulty for me.

Great Analysis, that alot of makes sense but do think the kanzen renewal for both competions may change anything?

But as for your question, I don't know. The low budget for Sasuke 32 makes me suspect the potential for a brutal third stage will be cut short, and that the stage will remain at 6 obstacles.

[ spoiler ] no spaces [ /spoiler ] Anyways to answer the question, I think SASUKE only because in ANW you go through regionals and finals before you even reach the actual course. You'll get a feel for what is ahead. SASUKE does have trials themselves but not as of lately. It's kinda left up to instincts if you can clear. But I like it that way anyway.

Bigger question.. does it matter? I completely agree, in a way by asking which one is harder you're asking if whoever beat the one course may/may not have beat the other. All champions should be praised for being able to beat all of the obstacles, not just pick at them.

Bigger question.. does it matter? In an age in which international competitions are becoming more and more common, and there are still purists on both sides, yes.

To conquer oneself is a bigger challenge than each other. Sasuke and ANW are supposed to be sister shows.. not enemies.

By purist, I meant that competitors that have only competed on either one will find the other course difficult to adjust to. If the difficulty curve is greater or exists at all, it would mean theoretically one side would have the upper hand in an international competition, even without outside intervention such as NBC's "antics". Take the Sasuke RISING course and the ANW 7 finals. Say what you will about either course, but I guarantee if the USA team came over and tried the 31 course, at least in stages 1 and 2, team USA would clear stage 1 and 2 much more than Japan was able to clear stage 1/2 of ANW, I.E. Not at all.

It's kinda like the legendary game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, because it has been aired in over 100 countries and they all have the same goal - to win the game.

Sorry, If my question was offensive to anyone. I was just Curious and wanted to hear others opinions. I love both shows!

Of course it doesn't matter, but the question was an invitation to an open discussion, not an attack on Sasuke.

As from last season's ANW until now, ANW is definitely more challenging than Sasuke. Sasuke now is getting more trickier than ANW.
