I am potentially attending the Indianapolis regional, but my question is how early are tickets typically available on the website? I was trying to get them but they're on an email list at this point.

Can't really say when they'll be up but make sure to check back every day as the e-mail list is usually unreliable.

So I live about 40 minutes away from downtown Indy which is one of the locations that ANW is shooting at. I really want to go with one of my friends, but we don't exactly know anything about getting tickets or how any of the process of getting to go to the show even works :/ Any info is appreciated

They still haven't released the LA tickets yet so I wouldn't expect Indy's to be released until the week of. You just have to check daily though. I hope that helps. Ill be there as well let me know if you need any more help.

If you do that you will be rotated out however, if you want to stay the whole night I suggest making friends with someone invited and get into their friends and family section, since you're on SMF I'm sure you can find someone competing willing to help

They didn't rotate people out in Atlanta as far as I know. I got my tickets through On-Camera audiences and stayed for the entire filming on both nights. I think its just the seats they want to rotate people out for big groups of friends/family during their person's run, but I don't recall them actually asking people to leave the set.

Another factor is the people who go through on-camera audiences are the super vigilant ninja who are aware of this and sign up for all the sessions

I got tickets to all four sessions in Pittsburgh last year and never got rotated out. It also helped that I know (a lot of) people so I'm not sure that works for everyone, but if you're wanting to stay for the whole thing I'd recommend getting tickets to all four sessions.

Yeah, I figure as long as you're into the filming and not falling asleep, they're not going to ask you to leave. I stood at the railings for most of each night and the only thing they asked a group of us to do was just to move down a little bit to fill in any gaps in the crowd. I only had tickets for 8:00pm but only ran into trouble the 2nd night because we didn't show up till about 9:00pm. We had to go to the back of the line and didn't get priority before the 10:00pm tickets. The first night was a bit of a mess early on in terms of line organization so definitely arrive early so you can get a spot in line at the front.
The finals night, the friends and family line was empty by 9pm and if you were on someone's list then you could get in right away. Otherwise they let people in by waves, I guess based on how many people had left, or when they realized they had more space they could fill in with people.
Finally at post #100!

I got a ticket for the final taping of the Atlanta event this year (started at 2:30am). I arrived a bit early just in case. While there, I did not see any of the people at the previous taping cycled out whatsoever. I conjecture that the efficiency with which they were doing runs had something to do with the audience management. They were ahead of schedule and had a very short period of time between one run finishing and another run starting; it was great to help keep energy fairly high in the 42 degree weather that night.
I did not at any point hear anyone on staff ask anyone to stay after all the runs were completed, but they did ask the people that stayed to move to the sections of the audience near the commentator tower for outro filming. (That said, they had a couple of testers re-run each of the obstacles, one of whom was wearing multiple cameras, and most people had gathered in the aforementioned area to watch the testers). The outro filming went very quickly with only a couple takes, and they completed filming a couple hours ahead of schedule. The director out of the outro seemed pleased with how smoothly things went, at least near the end of filming.
tl;dr -- I would suggest getting tickets to not-the-last taping. They seem to be actively valuing enthusiastic audiences. They might try to get you to stay as long as possible.
