This thread is about the Tackle + Soritatsu Kabe combination that caused even some of the top guys to get eliminated in the first stage. I noticed some people in chat during the live stream didn't like it too much.
So, I decided to make this thread in figuring out exactly how many people liked this new combination that really put even the veterans out of practice, or hated it for whatever reason. I'm actually interested in hearing what everyone has to say about it.

I think how Inui has this in each of the first 3 stages this tournament is brilliant. His idea of an easier, but draining obstacle before an already tricky obstacle is brilliant. Hopefully we see more of this in the new era.

I always thought of the first stage to be all around skills being put to use. People who are speed based, strength based, or whatever can clear if they have the proper mindset. Now all of a sudden you lose that stamina way too fast so... NO don't like it! It's bad... leaving so many scalpers on the wall...

I'm all for it. It made the wall more exciting, especially in the case of Hioki or Darvish and their close calls.

I like the combo. Makes the Soritatsu Kabe tougher and there is a higher chance of a big name failing this evil pairing.

It actually makes the Warped Wall not-a-joke anymore, so I like it.

No, I hate it. It was boring to watch and made Stage 1 less eventful. I don't care how many people failed the wall because of it, scrap that crap.

It's honestly a love/hate thing for me. I like it for giving the challenge to keep everyone on their game for how much energy to spend on doing the obstacle to hating how it took out the last 3 good performers.

One of the best obstacle combos in the history of SASUKE in my opinion. It's extremely challenging but fair; the First Stage now requires lower-body strength in addition to agility to clear. It's plenty beatable but requires skills that not many other obstacles in SASUKE tests. Absolutely love the combo and hope it stays in SASUKE 32.

Working as intended. I think they needed to show more people on the tackle because honestly the faces of everyone who got through it was fun (and in some cases hilarious like Kanno). I love how he brought the fear of God again into the first stage. For far too long people ignored the first stage only training for the 3rd as if they were anointed to always be there. THIS way they have no idea wtf is coming to the first and actually train for overall stamina and reflexes. It was a welcome change and honestly worth the price of admission hearing all of those audible gasps when the competitors came face to face with it. Seriously.. not only does it need to stay, we need more of these types of changes. I .. LOVED it.

Loved it. No gimmicks, no malfunctioning parts, and no things that can cause a competitor to slip up in a dumb way (think Swap Salmon Ladder, ANW6 Silk Slider landing pad, etc.). Just a simple test of brute strength and endurance. Also, I liked the camera angle that zoomed in on competitors' faces because it let us see their eyes and emotions ( a common technique used in cinema to give detail or emotion to a character within a much broader context of a scene). Don't think we've ever seen anything like this in Sasuke before. Pretty cool.

It's interesting, don't get me wrong, and it adds a lot more pressure/excitement to the runs.....but I personally don't like it.
I think the problem here is that I'm just getting bored of the warped wall in general. I hope I'm not the only one that wouldn't mind seeing the great wall from Sasuke 18 being brought back?
In the end, I really do prefer this combo over the double warped wall from the last 3 tournaments, but I would rather see something different for Sasuke 32 over the current combo.

LOL Inui wanted the whole wall gone but got HUGE blowback from the community in Japan. "It wouldn't be Sasuke without the wall!" is what he kept hearing. So he added this to make people tired before they got to the wall and it worked. Next tourney I expect sharks with freakin' lasers on their freakin' heads.

Next tourney I expect sharks with freakin' lasers on their freakin' heads. You realize if this doesn't happen I'll be sorely disappointed. Honestly, I'm happy the blowback happened. It's too iconic. There's always been some kind of 'kabe' obstacle, even with the long, slanted hill.
