I just had to tell Chris Ketchum that I cannot do the carpool after all, certain life events got in the way. I will still be going, but I'll be flying. Don't have a choice if I want to go... and I will be going.
I'll probably be flying from Denver to LAX on friday, run the course Saturday morning, and then fly back Saturday evening around 5 pm. Thing is... I don't know how long this event is going to last!
I wish I had a way to know what to expect when I arrive... so I'd know not only for sure I'd be able to run the course, but that I wouldn't be standing in line for so long that after I run, I'd be bolting back to the Taxi to get me back to the plane on time! There's already SO much that I'm laying on the line here for this one chance... Gah. I don't want to spend $450 just to turn around and come back because I couldn't run. I've gotta do this, and I've GOT to do it right. Maybe I'll try to show up on site around 6 am their time to sign in as early as possible, and then nap what I can in-between. Geez... so nervous I can't stop writing.
I work on that sunday at 11 am, as well as church before, so selecting an arrival time back to Denver for sunday morning isn't going to work, as I can NOT be sure I won't be delayed.
Any news perchance on how long this thing will run, just so I have a good estimate? It's not like they have any way for me to contact them... At least not with the assurance they will not only answer, but in time for me to make a proper decision... *groans, sighs, and nervousness*
This is nuts. Most insane decision I've made in my life... this had damn better well work or I'm the big F'ed.

Well, after getting the "Good News" via PM from UncleSam, It leaves me a question. Anyone here still willing to carpool from Colorado to California? I'm willing to help out with the cost but my car is too old to make such a long trip. I'm 18 so I can help with the driving.{I can drive stick also...} I don't have any time restraints except I want to be at the location 6:00 A.M Pacific Time. So, I can leave colorado whenever and leave california whenever.
I really want to go to this event so respond in this forum or via PM. Thank you.

Nah, I won't be bringing the laptop to the event itself. My battery dies in about two hours when it's not plugged in. .__. As soon as it's over, though, back to the hotel to upload everything via complimentary high-speed wireless internet.

I wish they did a tour of this event. So do I. Then when it comes to Maryland I have a chance.

Dammit, why couldn't this be in Texas?! =/
Well, good luck to all those going, I wish I had the money/time/planning to go through with this, because I'd so be there if I could drive

According to Straticus, the obstacle list is (granted I'm the one putting in the Japanese names)
Godantobi/Quintuple Steps Pipe Slider Cliffhanger Jumping Spider Soritatsu Kabe/Warped Wall
But you have to wear a helmet and pads....
When I heard about the safety measurements I lost interest... Although I could totally crush that course...

Only reason is they don't want a lawsuit with people who never heard of the show and are stupid enough to try it despite having NO CLUE what to do.

Wait... It says that the first 75 spectators get a free Ninja Warrior shirt. It says nothing about competitors.
