Just getting this out of the way before I forget. Those who were around for Sasuke 21 will be familiar with this protocol.
Upon the airing of Sasuke 22, there are to be no spoilers posted anywhere outside of this subforum. In other words, the only place you can refer to the results of the tournament is in this 'SASUKE #22' section.
Violating this rule clearly intentionally will result in a temporary ban. If you do it accidentally, it's fine. Your post will be edited with a reminder. No one is likely to be banned unless they deliberately and maliciously attempt to ruin it for others. Everyone slips up now and then, I know I did a few times after 21.
This will probably last until the G4 broadcast, but we'll see how it goes.
What counts as a spoiler: -Results. Where competitors failed. -Someone passed Stage 3. Someone completed the course. -'Mr Octopus did not achieve total victory' is a spoiler.
What doesn't count as a spoiler: -Saying who competed. -Details of new obstacles, although don't mention stuff like 'a certain person who I will not name failed it in this way.'
No spoilers in thread titles. For example, 'Nagano's Run' is okay, 'Nagano's Third Stage Run' is not. Also don't make obvious allusions to the final stage in titles if someone reaches it.
This applies to the G4 forums also. Deliberate spoilers over there will be punished over here.
If anyone has anything to add, go ahead.

Regarding the purposeful/accidental posting of spoilers, if someone does it accidentally multiple times (i.e. upwards of say, 4 or 5 times), then perhaps a warning/short temporary ban would be in order.

During Sasuke 21 I often had to minimize chat so I wouldn't read the result before I saw what happened for my self. People tend to shout "nooooo" or "yes!!" a moment too soon for everyone. Last time when Nagano cleared the Cliffhanger someone shouted HE MADE IT the second they found out, but I was one that had a 5 second delay of everything, so it was a spoiler. Not all of us are in the same time as you, please understand that some of us have time delays before we see what you see first.

Forum Rules != Chat Rules
If you don't want chatters to spoil it, either (1) don't be in chat or (2) perhaps we need to have a spoiler-free/general discussion chat room in addition to the main active discussion. Or alternatively, have a "during the commercial recap" room, and the all-time active discussion room.

Wasn't this whole forum designed for spoilers. It is the "Sasuke" forums. Not the Ninja Warrior forums. Are there people here that arn't going to watch the recording and watch the G4 broadcast only?
I don't mind too much, just wondering why. Ill obey the rules, I'm not going to rebel.

It's a good point. Last time we did this it was sort of redundant. Mainly it's just sort of a precaution for if someone hasn't seen Sasuke 22 and doesn't want it spoiled. This goes especially for the days immediately after the tournament. If you couldn't see it live, then with this rule you'd have to avoid the forums entirely. Also, if someone new comes here, say from G4, they would likely immediatley have everything spoiled for them.
Mostly it's a useless precaution, but it's not particularly annoying and I'd rather have it.

I personally like that we have the rules written down. While most of this is common sense, it's good to have it written down somewhere where people can see it, so hopefully, we are all on the same page when it comes to spoilers.
These rules come more as a response to the debacle that happened after Sasuke 20, where certain people (won't mention names, you know who you are) spoiled Sasuke 20 for people who couldn't/didn't want to see the TBS broadcast. Once a little detail was announced, certain people would spread this knowledge to ANY topic possible, even if the spoiler had nothing to do with the original topic. I know a few people who had Sasuke 20 spoiled to them just because of spoilers.
So, that's why we have these rules.

Can you make this a global announcement? It seems to be something needed to be posted in all forums. And I thought you guys learned that I learned after 20! I was fine with 21!

Question.. Why?
If someone is devoted enough to join a Sasuke forum and knows enough not to be a complete idiot by not knowing what they're talking about... How can they not have seen Sasuke 22 by now?

Question.. Why? If someone is devoted enough to join a Sasuke forum and knows enough not to be a complete idiot by not knowing what they're talking about... How can they not have seen Sasuke 22 by now? The regulars here and most of the members here, yes. The lurkers and guests, no. Members can see this board, guests can not. I don't those people to turn away from this site because they had Sasuke 22 spoiled for them because a piece of info was leaked outside this sub-boar. Heck, they probably don't even know that you can watch it now. If they really want to know what happened, then they can sign up to see.
