Evidently there's been an "emergency situation" that has caused ASEAN Cup to be moved to a different location.

Wow that's pretty epic to change it that quickly. Inui will be there tomorrow to start construction on the site. Curious what went wrong.. At least it wasn't canceled given how many problems they had so far. Couple pics of it: Aerial viewLink to a blogAnother blog with some event in it. Flicker photo

That field seems like it would be better for Sasuke though, so it's all good to me.
EDIT: Also, that striped building behind the field looks like a giant CPU cooler to me.

Yikes! I didn't realize how bad it was. I was just laughing that Inui was wearing short and a T shirt to the airport in Tokyo in preparation for the weather in Malaysia.

That's quite a contrast to what we're in the midst of here in the northeastern U.S.

Since the locations were soccer fields I was wondering if they would have the water pits/tanks under obstacles that could damage the field. Given this news I can't see them using thousands of gallons for this event while everyone else is conserving water.

Given the water situation in Malaysia I feel like it'd be best for them to do this over padding Sasuke 1 style. Padding can be some effective stuff (I remember it almost felt like floating when I had to jump off the Prism Tilt landing platform for safety during swing jump tests)

Inui arrived a few hours ago in the middle of the night (like 5 am) and it was a 78 degree (26C) temp difference. Yikes. I hope everyone is okay going there from a very cold climate. I usually feel like I'm boiling inside in that kind of shock.

So far I just have pics of buildings and such. The snow also robbed us of getting to see Shinyas today =(. But we should still be on for heading up to Nagai to the warehouse course tomorrow (sunday)

But we should still be on for heading up to Nagai to the warehouse course tomorrow (sunday) I'm in Tokyo too and the conditions today really made getting to and from work interesting. It sucks that you guys couldn't go to Shinya's today. The train service to the north seems to be having the most problems due to the heavy snowfall so I wish you guys good luck for getting there tomorrow (and back and onto the plane to Malaysia).

been EXACTLY the same in southeast Australia, in total over the summer we have had 12 days of over 40 Celsius (104 fahrenheight) and around 7 of those around the 110 mark, and bushfires all over the state

That's crazy with the stark temperature difference. Tokyo getting 2 feet of snow while Malaysia and Australia are baking in the dry heat. For the competitors traveling I hope you get there safe and once you get there be careful with the extreme heat! i live in kuala lumpur, malaysia so i can't miss the tournament TAKE PICTURES!!!!!
