...would have a good chance of making it to Stage 3 or better, even perhaps getting a kanzenseiha?

Rafael Nadal would probably do some damage but he's not too graceful. Federer has the coordination but probably not the strength for Second Stage!
The best tennis player for Sasuke is probably David Ferrer or Gael Monfils!

Has there ever been a water polo player on Sasuke? I feel like they would be good in the third stage due to the endurance and upper body strength you get from the sport.

Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan.
I'd love to see Floyd Mayweather try it.

Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, or Tyson Kidd type professional wrestler would have a great chance. Still want to see Ichiro try it too but that won't happen.

Remember though that those wrestlers are pretty big in comparison to the Japanese. I think most of those guys have too much bulk on them imo. But I see what you mean.

WWE bills them at 200+. Evan and Tyson are no bigger than 170 and Kofi is maybe 190. We just saw a 200lb guy make stage 3 in ANW. Your argument is invalid

Don't watch WWE so don't know much about them but I am slightly skeptical on a wrestlers chances on the course, while I'm not personally familiar with his work, there was an independant wrestler who competed in Baltimore, failed the Downhill Jump, was cut from the broadcast because he ran in the day and they ignored those runs pretty much.

Someone in the NBA could probably do it.

I doubt it. Basketball players mainly specialize (imo) in lower body strength and vertical leap. If one was to make it to the second stage, they would most likely fail there due to the lack of upper body strength needed for the SL. Plus, height comes into play in terms of body mass.

Drew Brees, Darren Sproles, and Tyrann Matthieu would probably do pretty well. Sproles would probably have the best shot, since he's small (5'6), agile, and very fast.

If there was going to be a football player on Sasuke (I think there has been), It would have to be one of the lighter positions, like a quarterback, a running back, or a wide receiver. A lineman wouldn't stand a chance against the first stage.

I'm curious how well an Olympic swimmer (such as Michael Phelps) would do in modern SASUKE. They certainly have good cardio, which would serve them well in Stage 1. Swimming also works a wide range of muscles, so I feel that Stage 2 (and especially the Backstream) would be in the realm of possibility for many of them. They would almost certainly fail Stage 3's CCH without proper training, but otherwise they'd do quite well the first time around IMO. Side note: if an Olympic swimmer ever times out due specifically to trouble with the Backstream, I'll be even more in favor of draining that death trap.

I would love to see a guy like Alex Honnold on stage three.
