Does anyone know if ANW 5 will adopt any of the Sasuke 28 obstacles or will we see the same course from ANW 4? I personally don't like Stage 2 of 28, but I like some of the old obstacles that made a return (modified Jump Hang, Spider Walk in Stage 2, and the Rumbling Dice specifically)

I would bet money that the Cliffhanger Flip will be integrated in the next ANW, especially since Brent beat the UCH last time around.

I think they're keeping the UCH for ANW5, it's become kind of iconic. I don't see them putting too much from Rising in until ANW6, remember they're trying to stay what's perceived as recent in japan, 28 doesn't have an official american release so as far as NBC and Esquire are concerned it's unseen, so to the non SMFers 27 appears to be newest and Midoriyama will be like that.
Maybe they might integrate the Jump Hang Kai if anything... but I doubt it

I was thinking that they might add the Spin Bridge to the Qualifying and Semi-Final rounds. After all, it was in SASUKE 27 and the ANW4 Finals.

This is kinda off topic, but this is how I would design regions. A mix of Sasuke Rising obstacles and ones that are familiar to Americans. I think that's the best choice!
1. Godantobi (Same As ANW2-4) 2. Downhill Jump(NW/SW)/Slider Drop(MW/MS)/Cross Slider(NE/SE) 3. Spin Bridge (One of my favorites since Viking) 4. Jump Hang Kai(NW)/Rumbling Dice(SW)/Rolling Escargot(MW)/Metal Spin(MS)/Circle Slider(NE)/Unstable Bridge(2 Bridges, SE) 5. Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe Button 6. Salmon Ladder 7. Spider Walk (Directly After Previous Obstacle) 8. Backstream 9. Rope Ladder

The backstream is my least favorite obstacle I've ever seen in Sasuke/ANW.

What are the chances we'll see an entirely new obstacle(s) in ANW5? Or is there some rule that they have to use previously seen ones from Sasuke?

I'm not sure there's a rule as much as they're trying to keep things familiar, in the interview leading up to ANW4, Matt implied new obstacles could happen when he mentioned making their own changes.
Also ANW had one new obstacle from the start... The Rope Swing from ANW1-2 was completely new

But if you think about it, the course has had rope swings on it before... both the HPA rope and the Tarzan Rope (more particularly the Tarzan Rope)

Yes but let's not forget G4's history of building failures... This was the same tournament as the Plus Bridge...

They had the Rope Swing for ANW2 and the landing was even worse... I'm pretty sure you made a demotivator about it

I'm pretty sure you made a demotivator about it I made jokes about the bridge of blades, the only one of the ANW2 Rope Swing was the one about G4's research fail of their own creationAlso... ANW2's Rope Swing was tested and eventually approved by Nagano, Yuuji and Okuyama so yeah...

I think the course might be slightly modified with older obstacles like the Rumbling dice and the jump hang in the first round of the finals. They can start by fixing all the bugs with the second stage first of all.

The backstream is my least favorite obstacle I've ever seen in Sasuke/ANW. Because you probably can't swim! P.S. Sorry, swimming came to Sasuke. Soon, I think mental ostacles (Parley, etc.) will come to Sasuke. There's a 90% chance that Americans will see Sasuke Rising at some point in their lives.

I swam in highschool, I'm not the best but I'm definitely better than most people. I don't like it because the whole point is to not get wet. It's simple, if any part of your body hits water during the run, you lose. Also, before the backstream, it was pretty easy to compete in whatever clothing is most comfortable to you. Now on stage 2, you are at a disadvantage to wear a shirt, loose shorts, a hat, or anything besides spandex basically.
