There were many, but if I had to choose just 1 I'd say Kouji.

Nagano's!!! Nagano went Yamada-style and Takeda made Shingo-style mistake...

I flipped out the most for Takeda, I had the highest of hopes for him. You'll see all of my reactions to the top competitors when I post my web series "Watching Sasuke Rising"

Nagano's was damn shocking simply because when Nagano makes it to the Wall with 45 seconds left he clears. That was...just...how?
Takeda's was pretty shocking but understandable as he had never attempted the Escargot before.
Kouji's was shocking because nobody expected the Spin Bridge to be that hard.

It was definitely Nagano for me. It was so hard watching him fail and see the toll father time has taken on his abilities. In the past that obstacle would have been a breeze. But all good things must come to an end I suppose :/

It's a four way tie for me. First is Nagano, because the last time he failed the Warped Wall was in Sasuke 8. Second is Takeda. I heard he failed on the Escargot, which was understandable as it was a new obstacle for him, but I did not expect him to fail like that. That's something Shingo would do! The third one was Koji Hashimoto, because he passed the Spin Bridge in 27. The final big shocker for me was Li En Zhi. I thought his 27 performance was a fluke, but here he is, failing Stage One again!

Takeda's failure was the most shocking to me---I didn't expect him to go out so early. RIP to his Final Stage chances forever. Also, didn't anyone else find it a bit shocking (or at least weird) to see Yuuji fail on Stage 3? Even with the CCH being brand new and it being so cold outside (and him arguably being the Last Man Standing), it was so odd seeing his perfect record in Stage 3 being shattered. I half expected him to fail the Iron Paddler for a bit.

Takeda's hands down. Even knowing he wouldn't pass the first stage I was not prepared HOW he didn't pass the first stage..

TAH-KAY-DAH (American pronunciation intended) gets first place. Nagano a close second.

Nagano. Was it just me, or do you get the feeling that the pressure of it being his last run might have got to him. He's never had any trouble at all there before... (at least, not for the last 20 tournaments)

Sort of odd of me, but Akiyama and Yamada's runs surprised me. I expected Yamada to pass stage one and Akiyama to at least make it to the spider hang(I still do not know the name). Overall Takeda definitely.

Nagano because he was speeding through the whole course like crazy and then he just really slowed down when he got to the second Warped Wall.

It's just plain weird to see Lee failing the first stage, so that was very shocking. Takeda, I didn't expect him to do so well but that fail was surprising.
