It was awesome to see the Rumbling Dice back. It was a great obstacle in the past, and it's a perfect start now.
That Iron Paddle is BRUTAL! What an inventive and brutal obstacle. It didn't take anyone out, but it knocked the wind out of everyone's sails.
The Crazy Cliffhanger is a very exciting update. It seems that all of the practice videos of homemade Cliff Hangers have the big jumps going on the same left-right axis. It was incredibly inventive to have the jump go in a perpendicular direction. Yuuji and Kanno clearly weren't prepared for a jump like that.
I can't wait to see the Curtain Cling and that new underhand grip obstacle in action. That would be a smart one (and easy one) to build.

I seem to be completely alone on this, I hate the Iron Paddle. Is it brutal? Yes. Does it do its job well? Yes. But it's so awkward to watch... almost makes me cringe. It's just weird, and I don't think it fits well with the other obstacles in stage 3.
Aside from that, this stage 3 is literally my dream. Rumbling dice was always my favorite stage 3 opener. The CCH isn't as hard as the UCH, but that's a good thing since that was overtaking stage 3. It's also the most exciting cliff-hanger to date imo. I've also always loved the curtain cling.
And they also brought back my favorite obstacle of all time, the pipe slider. HELL YES.

that obstacle is called Vertical Limit. TBH i loved it! 2 obstacles that drain your strength, 3 that kill your grip and one memorable final obstacle! If only they placed the Rumbling Dice a little higher...i'm waiting for someone to Shingo that...XD

I can't really complain about the Iron Paddler, I mean that same argument can be made about the Body Prop (even though that had more direct fails), the Iron Paddler is a fierce obstacle that definitely should stay in Stage 3

That iron paddler was like a hanging wrist roller, insane. Also, so the vertical limit had a little ledge to grab on instead of it being completely smooth?

Yep, the Vertical Limit had a little ledge on the inside, if I heard the announcers right it's 1cm EDIT: OH NOW I REMEMBER, it was bugging me that I heard that name before... It finally hit me... That was what G4 called the Chou Touban in Kunoichi 4 lol Which is funny since now... we have an obstacle REALLY called Vertical Limit lol

I think the Iron Paddle was like most competitor's very first attempt at the Arm Rings or Salmon Ladder- they simply had no idea how to tackle it and they struggled mightily.
I think we'll be seeing many of these Iron Paddles popping up in home courses.
BTW, Asa, Kanno, and Yuuji really looked like they were constipated attempting it, didn't they? ;D

On the CCH couldn't you turn around on the last ledge into a chin-up grip and jump to the other ledge.

On the CCH couldn't you turn around on the last ledge into a chin-up grip and jump to the other ledge. I'm sure you'd be allowed to, but it would be quite awkward considering the competitors could easily hit the top of their heads on the structure of the Cliffhanger above them in this position. I really enjoyed stage 3, my favorite version of this stage in awhile. I actually got a little anxious watching the competitors on the Iron Paddle. That obstacle will have to go in the next 1 or 2 tournaments, because its going to get replicated to death after everyone saw how hard it was to figure the thing out, and after that it'll be a cakewalk for too many people.

They serve the same purpose, but the Body Prop was creative and fun to watch. Iron Paddler just looked awkward for the competitors and for me as a watcher. Something about holding a bar at waist level... I tried something similar in my Sasuke courses on youtube and it was just not a fun obstacle that I quickly removed. BTW, Asa, Kanno, and Yuuji really looked like they were constipated attempting it, didn't they? ;D Yeah, it's just weird to watch...

Honestly, I LOVED the Iron Paddle because it makes the Cliffhanger that much more deadly. The Iron Paddle is tougher for lightweights like Yuuji and Ryo who are more built for the Cliffhanger, while the Cliffhanger is tougher for heavyweights like Kanno who will have an easier time on the Iron Paddle.
I don't love the Cliffhanger, but overall this is a much better stage than 27's so I'm not complaining.

Why don't they just run it like the arm bike? Like after you leave the plateform lower your body below the paddle and do it then when you get close swing your legs up onto the plateform like Yuuji did.

Likely a rule against it, another factor is how close to the water you'd be

Pretty sure that's not possible, what with the handles. But maybe you could do it like the Rumbling Dice.
