Wow pretty good show the all stars all bottled it sadly! Stage 2 was most fun stage 2 I seen in years Love the new Iron pedal in stage 3 but that new 7th obstacle they coped the plank walk from STICKMAN SASUKE gripping bottomofa door frame type thing. Yuuji and Kanno being anhilated by the new cliffhanger was brutal! I enjoyed it! But stage 3 felt hauntingly like 18

Stage 2 was awesome, although I did not like the new 2nd wall/door on the wall lifting. Stage 3 was cool too, and I liked how they finally managed to modify the arm bike so that it was hard!

No Nagano Interview
I cried during Akiyama's and Yamada's runs
Stage 2 was neat, but I feel like it was made with the intention of a lot of people clearing stage 1. Why didn't that happen? It really didn't look that hard. Bad luck and lack of skilled competitors I guess.
Iron Paddle is stuuuuuuuuuuuupid. It's so awkward to perform and watch, just ugh.
Hoping for a Sasuke 29! I really enjoyed the tourney over-all.

I don't hate the tournament. I think I'm still numb about the All-Stars just crumbling before our eyes on the 1st Stage. I love how the course is, I feel it just needs a few minor tweaks and it'll be perfect. It'll probably be one of my favorites, just in a different way; not for its results, but for the emotional toll it put on me lol. I hope the audience wasn't put off by it and we see 29 and so on in the following years.

It was okay. Really disapointing that 95 people failed stage 1 and that all 5 all-stars did badly (though i only saw some of their runs due to connection problems, how did Nagano do?)

Quite nice actually. Loved stage 3. But the pushing wall is too bad! P.S. Akiyama made history.. for being the only grand champion to not fail on every stage!!

Where was Nagano's speech?

He talked a lot before his run...but after his run none of the all-stars was interviewed!! instead they kept interviewing that lady about how the course looks like...

Iron paddler is devilishly genius.
Back end of the new stage 2 was a little fluffy but restoring the two-chain part of the unstable bridge and making the 2nd wall a lift instead of a spread would fix it enough as a whole.
Here's hoping there are enough RATINGS for 29. Or that at least TBS figures out a way to keep injecting some youth into the thing, letting the old guys go out in style is a pretty good way to start moving forward.

Oh, and of course BOX LADY.
I get the feeling personally that it was more Nagano's decision to not speech it up than TBS's. I am pretty sure that even if Nagano gave a totally rambling 20-minute goodbye speech they would find a way to put most of it into the broadcast.

btw stage 2 was quite diasppointing....loved the backstream, SSL and the spider walk but the others were stupid...UB was toned down so much that i wished they got rid of it.
Edit: i think people will fail miserably at the guessing game this time...

Very enjoyable tournament, for sure.
All-Stars were obviously very sad to watch, but if you think about it with the fact that they are retiring, it was probably the best way for them to go out.
Stage 1 was definitely toughened up. They made the Spin Bridge considerably harder, and the time limit was fierce and punishing. The Jump Hang Kai wasn't quite as rigorous as I expected. I'm sure it could be improved though. The Steps were the Steps, and the Escargot...man, it definitely seemed harder than last tournament.
Stage 2's time limit, needless to say, was a bit too lenient. I liked the addition of the swim obstacle, I thought it was unique. They need to get rid of the USB, imo. That obstacle is outdated and verging on useless. The SSL was very rigorous, it seemed. I thought it was a nice addition. Pretty fun stage.
STAGE 3 WAS OH MY GOD. THAT IRON HANDLE THINGIE, JESUS. I think Yuuji's gonna need arm surgery for that one, poor guy. And that Cliff Hanger? Insane! It was also nice to see the return of the Rumbling Dice. It's sad that we couldn't see the other obstacles, but it's looking to be a hammering stage.
Must I mention that man, there were some SHOCKING failures. Takeda in particular made me cringe the most. No one could ever predict something that bad to happen to such a consistent player. Li and Koji were just...oh my God, who saw THAT coming?
Great tournament, many surprises, much creativity. I'm looking forward to 29.

I liked the tournament overall. It was very... wtf .. in a lot of moments. I can see how it's polarizing for many people but I think a lot of people got used to a certain formula and wanted that spit out. I liked that they took risks.. some worked some didn't but overall I didn't mind it. 2nd stage I was "meh" with but I applaud them for trying something new. I like the CCH because it's not so damn huge.. I mean.. I did NOT like the UCH so this was a lot more sleek. I liked that. One thing I adored about this tourney.. it MADE YOU THINK.. Those who could not adjust.. were brutally eliminated.
As for the All-stars I was not surprised. It's cleared they moved on and they have not kept up what is necessary to succeed these days. I will always hold them in my heart. I'm not sure how this will translate in terms of ratings. Some clearly cannot possibly see Sasuke without the All-stars. I'm more hopeful if they plan to do different things like this. Provided the ratings allow for it.

I kinda like the tournament, sure it had flaws but I liked it more than watching 25 live for example, although Stage 1 was just weird... results wise, I liked the course it's just... Produced odd results, I expected more than 5 clears TBH... Did not see that coming with Kouji and Lee, and it was kinda shocking with the All Stars, Especially Takeda's fail... I mean I'm not surprised, if anything would take him out in Stage 1 it would be that... just the way it happened... I mean he was already technically retired but that was just... A bit more surprised at Nagano not making it up the Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe... I couldn't believe it... Although while I'm not a fan of him... I had alot of respect for Yamada's run, while a bit slow he had a good run, and it seems he finally got some closure in his life. But while I was almost in tears for the last runs of the All Stars... at the same time I kind of like how it happened, bringing the All Stars back to the roots of where the group came from, just ordinary people, they're humans just like you and me...
Stage 2 I kinda liked and kinda disliked, I loved the Cross Slider and the Backstream was interesting, Swap Salmon Ladder is cool as well but I just hated the nerfed Unstable Bridge... Like if you're going to have just one board why put it on the course as well... and I know it's a classic but after years of the Jumping Spider, it feels weird putting the Spider Walk back in stage 2... I mean it feels like it got downgraded since it wasn't much harder than the JS once you're in, and no jumping to it element... And the Time Limit was way too high... Although it seems to be a wildly unpopular opinion, I actually liked the Passing Wall... Everyone else hated it but I thought it was cool...
Stage 3 I loved the hell out of, Classic Rumbling Dice back and upgraded, the Iron Paddler was just evil, I think the fact it was giving Yuuji trouble and Kanno almost fell in with it should say everything... It is a monster... I also liked the Vertical Limit even though no one made it there... Crazy Cliffhanger was cool as well (I'll agree with a comment made in the chat, the UCH was harder but the CCH is cooler), kind of surprised Yuuji failed it though, it's just unreal seeing him fail Stage 3, on a Cliffhanger no less... I think everyone had the wrong approach, I think the best way is to turn around on the third ledge and then jump.
Overall I like the tournament, not without faults but a great experience
Although seriously... I feel like the only one who didn't want to bend over and f*** the brains out of "Box lady" lol

God! I'm so disappointed... What the hell happened? NEVER EVER in my worst nightmares would I have thought that Nagano might have a problem with the warped wall....!!! What happened there? It seemed like he gave up...? It wasn't his style! It was Yamada's style (though Yamada managed the first wall for the first time since...a long time)... Takeda had a Shingo-style fall I expected Nagano's victory or at least 3d Stage completed.... One of the easiest first stage in a history of Sasuke and only 5 competitors cleared it. It's a general disappointment - totally unexpected result... All-Stars could've made it better - and don't tell me they can't !!! 1st Stage was a piece of cake for all o them in my opinion. And no final speech of Nagano...it broke my heart - he was the only one who didn't have his final moment

I only watched the Third Stage. I was very shocked when Yuuji almost failed the Iron obstacle. But I can't believe at all that he failed the CCH. It looks EASIER than the UCH! I was just shocked when I didn't see any all-star. I saw Kanno in red shorts, so I once thought it was Akiyama!

That was definitely a good show. Just from the way the marketing and advertisements went, the results were about what I expected; the only real shock was Nagano failing on the second wall.
All the elementary schools I teach at have a pool and swimming practice every summer, so I was a bit shocked to learn that Ryo and Yuuji are terrible swimmers. Ryo especially was complaining about the back stream obstacle saying that he can barely swim. Fortunately both of them made it out alive, but Ryo was definitely out of juice at the end because he was basically doggy paddling his way through.
I loved how Yuuji was praising the obstacle tester on stage 3 saying "that must be Japan's #1 guy... probably only he's capable of doing this stuff... There's no way I can do this stuff, I'm just an ordinary shoe salesman!" It was funny to hear because he's simply the best Sasuke competitor.
