Cool I edited it in the blog. Thanks Btw figuring I'll do the city threads on SMF much closer to March. Otherwise it's going to turn hopelessly into prediction threads and we have more than enough of those..

Going by Ube's talk of it being a good idea if TBS does a "Best of" course (I agree), it would be cool to see a pretty difficult best of course (within reason). I mean $500,000 is MUCH more than SASUKE's monetary prize, although this is the 4th competition (coincidentally SASUKE 4 had Akiyama win), I would hope G4/NBC wouldn't get too antsy on having a winner and leave it to the skill set of the 100 competitors.

I've been thinking, and wondering to myself, since TBS is building the course for G4 this time(finally,) I'm curious to see if they just "copy and paste" the obstacles that will be in Vegas, or if they will be re-sized for Americans. I mean the Rolling Escargot looked very much like it was sized for the Japanese, and the height of most of the American competitors gave them an advantage on the Warped Wall and other various obstacles on the show compared to most of the Japanese competitors. So I'm interested to see if they scale some of the obstacles up at all to even out that potential advantage.

But on the other hand, the contestants would still be on mostly even footing. I mean, yes, they would outsize the obstacles, but they would all outsize them, you know?

Also, the more who can clear, the more G4 can build their ego about how epic the field is (although there's bound to be someone to claim that's downplaying the Japanese ignoring the fact the four times the course has been beaten have been solely Japanese and the last two times were from the same guy who, big shock, is Japanese).

You know, I'm wondering if I should even turn in a video, even if they would bend the rules to accept me I can't make it down to any of the courses...

LA extended their deadline to the 20th apparently. The other locations still have the same dates for deadlines. upload.g4tv.com/anw-casting/upload.aspxSubmission Periods: LOS ANGELES, CA (Northwest and Southwest Region is now - Feb. 20th) DALLAS, TX (Midwest and South-Central Region is now - Feb. 27th) MIAMI, FL (Northeast and Southeast Region is now - March 8th) And they are using Venice Beach again for LA's trials.

No real surprise that they are using Venice Beach again. It's worked out decently in the past (except for obstacle design and maintenance issues). Why change it now?

(except for obstacle design and maintenance issues) And that's not even a venice beach problem, that's G4's fail, that s*** would happen anywhere

G4 screwed it up, it had nothing to do with it being at Venice Beach. *continues cursing the wet Quad Steps*

That really just highlights my biggest gripe about the 6 regions. So uneven. Take what you can get though, considering weather and all.

.. isn't Levi back in the NE region? I mean he was originally from Michigan to begin with.. Is he in NY now? Lost track where he is honestly. And competition people should be discussed in the appropriate threads....
