The:
- Funniest failure: Torisawa (the guy who cut his lip opening a bottle) on the Rolling Escargot - Funniest clear: Nagano in Stage 1 (fist pump at the end)
- Stupidest failure: The guy on the Double Salmon Ladder who hit his leg with the bar
- Most dramatic clear: Nagano in Stage 2. - Most dramatic failure: David in Stage 3 on the UCH
- Most exciting clear: Wakky in Stage 1. - Most typical failure: This spot is reserved for one man only. You should know who - Most typical clear: Nagano in Stage 2 (destroys the DSL like no one else can and lightly jogs to the finish even when he's low on time)
- Saddest failure: Kanno in Stage 2
Yours?

-Funniest failure: Torisawa (thank Rider for that) -Funniest clear: Wakky (YATTA!!!!!!!!! ) -Funniest moment overall: Kuramochi's octopus thingy (I forgot what they're called). Seriously, he has a great sense of humor. ;D - Stupidest failure: as you said in your post, and as Rider also emphasized- Most dramatic clears: Ryo in Stage 3 (even though I wasn't that surprised that he did so, I thought that it was a "dream coming true" moment for him and his family and friends) and of course Yuuji's 2nd kanzenseiha - Most dramatic failure: David in Stage 3 on the UCH - Most exciting clear: Ishikawa in Stage 2 - Most typical failure: yeah…poor Shingo… - Most typical clear: Okuyama in Stages 1 and 2 (since he’s done each in the past 5 tournaments) - Saddest failure: Kanno in Stage 2 And if can add my own: -Most surprising Stage 1 failures: Li in first by a long shot, though after him I'd probably put Takahashi -Most surprising Stage 1 clears: Wakky, Morimoto (#84) since I didn't even know he was still competing anymore, and those 3 guys who I assume were from trials (#56, #85, and #90) since I've never even heard of any of them before watching 27 -Most surprising Stage 2 failures: Kanno, Tajima, and Brent (even though we already knew about Tajima failing somewhere in Stage 2 from the one of the commercials and Brent failing because of the ANW3 finale) -Most surprising Stage 2 clear: Ishikawa. Not only did he break the record for most tournaments passed between consecutive Stage 2 clears (13, as he first cleared it in Sasuke 14), but he also did it in style by finishing with what is likely the closest Stage 2 clear ever by having 0.06 seconds to spare. -Most surprising Stage 3 failure/early failure: Okuyama on the Flying Bar (despite, like with Tajima, knowing ahead of time due to one of the commercials) since I expected him to at least get to the UCH yet again -Most surprising Stage 3 clear: none really since Ryo and Yuuji were the 2 guys who I would most expect to clear Stage 3 -Most painful failures shown on the TBS broadcast (i.e. not including Drew):Stage 1: Nagasawa on the Half-Pipe Attack Stage 2: Kanno withdrawing after the Slider Drop Stage 3: if anything (besides the emotional pain of failing that far into the course), Nagano on the UCH. I don’t know if it was just me, but while he was going through the water to get out it looked like he was picking at his hand as if the fifth ledge ripped some of his calluses.

I think he was referring to Yamada in the "most typical failure." I'd put Shingo's as the stupidest failure. Either that or funniest failure. Maybe both, LOL.
