As many of us know, ANW3 didn't do a great job of covering up major spoilers for SASUKE 27. Here's what we now know. ALL of the Third Stage qualifiers were Kouji, McGrath, Ryo, Stratis, Ishikawa, Kasemir, Okuyama, David, Yuuji and Nagano. As soon as we saw Kouji's number, #20, it became pretty clear that those were the only people in the Third Stage. Li En Zhi (and everyone else for that matter) was NOT in the Third Stage. Ishikawa failed the Flying Bar right before Paul. During Paul's run on the ANW3 broadcast, we can see from splash marks that someone clearly failed it right before him. When it came to Ishikawa's turn in the TBS broadcast, there was no other possible result. Okuyama also failed the Flying Bar. Pretty much the exact same thing as above, just with David's run. TBS also spoiled this more directly, but knowing that Paul didn't fail the Flying Bar, new splash marks could not belong to anyone else. Kouji cleared the UCH. There was chalk on the last ledge and we saw that right away. It could've been from a tester, but Kouji went before James, and he did clear, so it wasn't THAT surprising we got a UCH clear. Final Stage being totally lit up before/after David even went. Before meaning Ryo already cleared and they were setting up or After meaning Yuuji cleared right after and they used that footage. Lesson of the day: Don't look into ANW too much or else the SASUKE broadcast will be much less exciting. Or don't watch ANW at all.

All the spoilers I got from this board.
The lesson really is focus on the guy running

^ Pretty much that.
I only paid attention to the ANW guys during the broadcast and even with the threads here, I didn't recall "Oh yeah, x guy is failing y" during the main broadcast except when TBS noted it in their previews. Those who try to fault for spoilers are the people who choose not to forget.

Yeah, it's sort of my own fault for taking note of too many things, but that's just something I do. Some people have an easier time avoiding those details, while some people just tend to over-analyze them (like me). We pay the price. :\

^ Hahaha I totally agree with this, I don't know how some people that post here get spoiled so easy. Really I watched the entirety of ANW3 and got nothing spoiled beyond the American runs, with the exception of maybe them showing the Final Stage rope (that was G4's slip up, nice going.)
edit: It's the stupid internet discussion that always gets me, no matter where you go. I can't stand kids that post on youtube with comments/observations/predictions about what happened, because often times, they are right! (Like the chalk on the final ledge of the cliffhanger, which I didn't notice.) They post spoilers after the TBS broadcast when we know not everyone has seen Sasuke 27 yet, but that's asking too much. I think my biggest complaint has to be comments on my youtube videos that spoil the latest Sasuke, I always delete those.

Truth be told, I though a single rope was too "simple" so I thought the rope was just for rigging/setting up etc

I wasn't able to figure out a single result just from watching ANW. It helped that I wasn't looking for spoilers but I thought they were well hidden.
Of course, if you really focused on everything you would notice a few spoilers like dudesky did.

Honestly I was just going by the different things people were shouting in the chatbox that turned out to be true. A lot of people spotted many things during ANW3 I didn't even notice, that actually did turn out to be major spoilers.

I'm naturally accustomed to staring at the backgrounds.. LOL Guess the years doing the blog helped me see things in the background.. that and the pause button.

I thought they started from a sitting position back in the day... standing and then climbing is easier than that.
The only reason I watch the ANW version is for the full runs that were digested in the TBS version (Smith/Travis F/Stratis/Drew's injury after the Halfpipe Attack/Brent/Young Flip). On the other hand, the G4 announcers make Wataru Ogasawara sound like a poet laureate...
