What kind of clubs/sports are/did you do in high school?
As of right now, I'm doing Drama and Debate. I'm also a member of the PFC if that counts as a club. Basically Drama and Debate meets are once a week and I go down to the physical fitness center 2 (3 times if I'm lucky) a week.
I wanted to do something like Swimming or Crew as a sport but I ended up not pursuing either one as my life as it is, is very busy. Not to mention I have to take an hour long train to and from school every day.
I really enjoy doing drama. I started in freshmen year but as expected I didn't get much of a big role. In sophomore I got a much bigger part as one of the main characters (Our school does one major play a year). I will also be doing drama for a 3rd time in Junior year. I also really love doing Debate. The type of debate I do is political and it lets you go to all of these great high schools across the east coast and last year we actually got to visit Harvard University! Finally, I get my little Sasuke training fix with PFC 1 and a half hours a day, 2-3 times week.
Going into Junior year I might have to cut back on a few things seeing how big of an adjustment it will be going from honor classes to AP classes for credits... all that jazz. I have made a ton of great friends due to clubs and I highly recommend any new freshmen going into high school this year to get as involved as possible, but stay on top of your studies!
So what did you guys do in you high school life for extracurricular activities and such? Also, just a personal question from me, what was the hardest year of high school for you? (This is heading towards all high school graduates, obviously)

I did Video Game Club my Freshman year, ROTC Drum and Bugle/Bass in Sophomore year and Student Council/Occasional Chess my Senior year. Junior was my hardest followed by Senior (only because multiple assignments became due and it was getting hard to keep up). Being in IB didn't help but at this point, anything might be easier depending on my classes.

I never really did anything in high school. I got high with some druggies who refused to do any school activities for no reason other than to feel rebellious and cool. Besides, all we had was a Drama club, Gay club, and Christan club, and I don't give a s*** about any of those things.

In terms of clubs, I was lucky enough to get inducted into some academic ones like National Honor Society, but my favorite one was probably a trivia-themed show called Scholastic Scrimmage. It's a very small club (only about a dozen or so members who showed up regularly for practice) but for trivia nerds (like me ) it was awesome. Although it consists mostly of non-televised events between local high schools, I did get to be on my team's group of 4 people during my senior year for the televised tournament. Through it all though it was a really great sport (if you'd like to call it that ) and though we always tried our best none of us took it TOO seriously i.e. to the point where it wasn't fun. I did it for my last 3 years of high school, though I'm a little disappointed that they don't have something like this at my college. I also tried out track during my senior year (I figured hey why not) and did the 1600m event (my best time was 5:30---pretty good for a beginner I guess). I also helped out with a club that my graduating class put together that helps out with a lot of school sport and charity events. Both of those were also pretty fun, but Scholastic Scrimmage will always be my favorite. ;D

Well I'm a Senior this year so I can look at both sides of this coin. I've done a good amount of clubs thus far, including Beta Club and Mu Alpha Theta, but I assume those are kinda of standard. I did Broadcasting last year and had to volunteer to film sports events and stuff and sometimes stay after school to help work on the various projects that were associated with that. I also am still in Junior Academy of Science (go ahead and call me a nerd lol) but that's actually kind of interesting. Like the presidents get a speaker to come in from one of the nearby universities and he gives like an hour long lecture about a subject. One of my favorite topics was Bio-Astronomy or life on other planets. Sometimes it can be dry, but I enjoy it. I also was a lot like you and went to the Fitness Center at least twice a week during my freshman and sophomore year.
When discussing what year of high school was/has been the hardest, I definitely think my last year (Junior year) was the most difficult. I had like no time to do anything and it was incredibly stressful. I took three AP classes, one of which was AP Biology which was just a pain in the a**, because there was like at least 2-3 hours or homework for that class every night. I probably averaged about 5-6 hours of sleep that entire year. I think I've caught up over the summer, but still everything abut last year was stressful. Sophomore year certainly is leagues behind last year's difficulty but it wasn't a pushover. The only year I'd say that has been easy was Freshman year. This year I'm a senior and I only have like four classes, but all but one is an AP class.

I did alot of band stuff. I was in competitive marching band and jazz band my first two years, and I was in parade marching band and concert band all four years. I was also a member of the national honor society and national spanish honor society. I did intramural sports too, since I wasn't good enough to make an actual sports team haha.

I was in Cross Country in most of high school, and I helped start and flourish a club known as Medieval Battle Association. Which is pretty much larping with foam swords. I was the president/King of the club for both my junior and senior years in high school, but the club started while I was in my Sophomore year of high school. It's a lot of fun and kept me in great shape through those years. In which I mean, a really skinny guy. In fact, I still go over there occasionally even if I graduated 6 years ago. They still know me and love me over there. Other then those two, I was kinda part of anime club, but I didn't go incredibly often. Though it was my gateway into watching anime for the first time. Edit: Oh, I guess I forgot to mention the toughest year of high school. To me, the worst/toughest year was my junior year. I was trying to get most of my hard classes out of the way at that time which made my senior year a whole lot easier.

The only clubs we had at my school were the ones we used to hit girls over the head with, so we could drag them off and make them our wives. Ahhh, caveman love.
