My first concert was Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy. I gotta say, we were in the bay in San Diego, with tall buildings to the right, glowing in the night sky, and a bay to the left, with the moon's reflection glistening on the water, and hearing some of the most beautiful music played live, all this on the 2nd night of comic con. During the concert, I honestly got a little emotional at how amazed I was at the breathtaking sight and sounds that I was taking in.
/Overdramatic a lil'.

Holy s***, Distant Worlds was in SD? Damn, live there for 10 years hoping to see it come to town and I miss it...
My first concert was The Offspring playing at BlizzCon 2005 (the first BlizzCon) during the closing night concert.
My second concert was, ironically, Video Games Live at BlizzCon 2007 (the 2nd BlizzCon), also during the closing night concert.

First concert was seeing Roger Waters perform Dark Side of the Moon in 2006. Then the next year I saw Bloc Party at the Wamu Theater in New York. Both amazing shows. Since then, I've seen at least one concert every year and hope to continue that for many years.

First concert I saw was a Beatles tribute band who's name I don't know. I was 6 and my folks couldn't get a sitter, what do you expect. Best concert I've been to goes to Brooks and Dunn back in 95 at Starplex (now Smirnoff). And I don't even listen to Country music that often.

First proper concert I went to was Green Day, they put on a really good live show. Then earlier this year I went to Big Day Out, which had Rammstein and Andrew WK playing.

Woah that's creepy, exact same age and act for me. Any chance you saw him in Cincinnati?

Owl City for my cousin's 11th birthday. Unbeknownst to me, it was an outdoor, standing room only concert. And then it rained. Hard. This was about 2 years ago. Total hell.
More recently I saw the Trans-Siberian orchestra at Christmas and Celtic Women in May. Much more enjoyable.

I know this is a pretty old thread, but I just wanted to say that I was just at my first concert ever. At the Allentown Fair, Journey, Foreigner, and Night Ranger were there and my friend who got tickets for her birthday for the concert wanted me to come along. All in all it was an awesome experience.

Yeah, I've never noticed this thread. My first concert was Grateful Dead when I was like 6 months old. XD That counts. My parents, especially my dad are big music fans so I went to a lot of festivals and concerts when I was young.
