The BUNPEI SHIRATORI THREAD!
Will he compete? If so how far will he get? What will his # be? ect, ect...
I think he will come back. As for his result, as long as he doesnt screw up anywhere I think he can get to the Floating Boards or UCH, however I voted that he will fail stage 2. He really should be able to clear the first stage. His only enemy right now is the wall and time, and last time he competed he got the wall in 1.
Dome steps and rolling log will be cake. He wont fail the Jump Hang. Bridge Jump - He can take 1 or 2 quick steps and superleap to the rope. Wont fail log grip (hope my "nightmare" dream is wrong lol) SK - Only thing that can stop him. Hopefully he practices it every day and will scale it. Circle Slider he should have no problems with his jump.
Then for the second stage I think he will fail either the unstable bridge or the metal spin. If he does get through I doubt he will pass the UCH.
As for his # goes, I think he will be #92.

I'm optimistic, so I put down he'd fail Stage 2. I think the old-school Stage 1 obstacles (if they're still around for 26) will help Bunpei get back in the saddle and put up a Stage 1 clear. After that he's screwed.

If he can get past the dbl salmon ladder+unstable bridge combo, I think he'll make stage three. In stage one though, I don't see anything that can really take him out. If he competes and goes out in stage 1 then I'd be shocked. It's more of a matter of how well he's responded to injury and kept his training/fitness levels up.

Bunpei is way more of a wildcard than Bunpei. Why? His knee.

He might be back in 26. Well, I hope so. I agree with pretty much everything gogonagano said. Unless he screws up or his injuries give him problems, Stage 1 should be ok. Stage 2 if he can pass the DSalmon Ladder combo it's unlikely he'll fail. I'm very curious to see if/how much he has trained for the Cliffhanger. IMO he has the potential.

I don't think we have enough information regarding if he will be back or not but what I can say is that I think he will go down in stage two if he returns.

Unfortunately, I honestly think that 21 was Bunpei's last competition. He's been out for what seems like forever, and IMO there's no sign that he'll be coming back any time soon (if ever). If he did happen to come back, I couldn't see him getting any farther than Stage 2. I could see him timing out on the Warped Wall/Tarzan Rope/Rope Ladder in Stage 1, and if he survived that he'd probably fail either the DSL/UB combo or time out in Stage 2 (which now has a stricter time limit than it was for most of Shin-Sasuke). Keep in mind that he's in his 40s now (43 IIRC), which is certainly catching up with him now at a pretty drastic rate. His prime is virtually over, and even if he would do decent if he returned for 26 he would be nowhere near as successful and consistent as he had been previously.

He trains for the Salmon Ladder a lot after 18 so I think he would get a good chance on the DSL. Remember Sato Jun? He was never close to beating the Salmon Ladder what he crushed the DSL.

He's 43. He's never even tried the Salmon Ladder. He's probably gonna struggle through the First Stage. If he doesn't time out, he's going down on the Salmon Ladder.

You DO realize he has one in his yard right? If I remember correctly isn't it built onto the structure for his Jumping Spider?

"Hes 43" ... so?
What makes you think he wont pass the salmon ladder? I though yamamoto would fail it in 23 but he didnt. Bunpei has one at his house and I cant see him failing the salmon ladder.

He'll probably make it far IF and I mean IF... his injuries stay out of his way.

I do not think he will compete, he is 43 with knee problems, and in that age that is very difficult to recover also in addition he also had a back problem as well before the knee injury, injuries are piling up on that age is very difficult to recover to that form he did in sasuke 12-21.
