Pretty good obstacles! I really like the Vicious Steps! Thanks! =D V-Steps and the Curtain Climber are my two favourites so far. This thread really shows how much the competition can keep evolving and reinventing itself in the future. Some amazing ideas in here =]

I'm from Croatia and there is a lot of fans of SASUKE in Croatia thanks to Nova TV on which I found out about SASUKE.On one other Croatian forum we are having two threads. One is about making stages and one about making obstacles.I'll put links here so you can see what are we doing.Language wont be problem because we write names on English. On thread about obstacles descriptions are on Croatian but you can ask me if you're interested in some obstacles. There are also sketches of some obstacles so it will be easier. Thread about stages: www.igre123.net/forum/tema/slozite-svoj-idealni-poligon-ninja-ratnika!/28350/ Thread about obstacles: www.igre123.net/forum/tema/stvorite-svoju-prepreku-ninja-ratnika/29034/EDIT: I'm sorry but first link is not working. On page three of thread about obstacles you have link of the first thread.

Nice I like the idea of the roulette clifhangar (tho wouldn't like to attempt it!!) Would the idea be that it rotates under poewr against the direction of movement so if you hang to long you move further away from the exit point?

Given that if swing or use momentum you end up wasting energy. It is us mussing the crazy cliff jump tho...

Thank you for your kind post. Hopefully I will add more soon and then choose the best ones (thinking of a poll), make tournament of them and maybe try forum members' on them according to their rank characters. I design these obstacles to be 1) sefe, 2) cheap and easy to build, 3) adequately difficult, 4) attractive (includes they don't need rules and are just about moving from A to B) As for the cliffhanger, I am not into making new versions of existing obstacles like longer cliffhanger, taller warped wall or heavier lifting walls, it is really silly. I just found this rotating cliffhanger interesting. There is written 40 cm between ledges vertically, it should be rather 80 cm. It wouldn't be even expensive to build as they can use the Hedgehog/Music Box cylinder. I meant it to rotate in opposite direction to the direction that ninjas are going, it means the cliffhanger turns left on their side. So they can't be nor too slow, neither too fast. It is not allowed to fully rotate on it to the other side. Now which obstacles of these do you like the most? My four favorites are Six Semicircles, Horror Cableway, Broken Cableway and Hoop of Eternity. Inui, are you watching?

Some more obstacles here. I recognize three kinds of obstacles: Repeating obstacles are made of more same segments (drum hopper, devil steps, jumping bars). There is a certain number of repetitions and if you want to make a harder version of the obstacle, you can just add segments (jumping bars) or tilt the whole thing (drum hopper). One-off obstacles are based on one difficult stunt. Spider flip or warped wall are some textbook examples. Jump hang is also pretty much based on one jump. There may be also more segments (wall lifting). The obstacle falls into this category if you can rest between the segments (so wall lifting is more 3 obstacles than one tough). Type of motion is the last category. IMO these are among the best. Spider-something, cliffhanger or body prop are such iconic movements for Sasuke. This is my favorite of all of these. I only hate the rules (you can't hold both hands on one cylinder). But the fact this is not based on strength, but purely on coordination is amazing. Balance tank version of it. I would love to see this tested. Is it even possible to overcome? Very unstable obstacle. To hold the bottom you need some superhuman grip. And holding the top you need not to hold more than one cylinder at once. Here I clearly made the type of motion obstacle into more segments with difficult transitions. That's pretty common: body prop had segments, cliffhanger is all about them today. If you thing that sliding obstacles are unfailable, this may be a solution. You need to keep your center of mass just below the supporting bars. Thanks for reading, I will make some more maybe

Welcome to the thread to talk about any new obstacle ideas you have, any improvements on Sasuke (or even ANW) obstacles! You may also comment on others' ideas. In other words for you obstacle design junkies: you're in paradise. Anyway some ideas: Spinning Hang (first stage three obstacle): Contestants grab onto two grip's at either end of a bar on a track. They must push it forward like the Pipe Slider pipe with their own momentum but the thing spins from the force (not sure how it would work but I've seen something similar. Network (see what I did with the name ?, fifth stage one obstacle): The contestant must run across three cargo nets on a pivot placed crosswise over the water and jump to a platform with a net over it as a helper. Cliff-waver (third stage three obstacle): The contestants must cliff-hang with a hand on two ledges that go across the water. So a cliffhanger but a separate cliff for each hand. They also have rises and dips (each side has the same) that must be navigated. Log Grasp (fifth stage one obstacle) They'really ten wide logs placed lengthwise over the water that the contestants must navigate across. They may use their feet if nessecary. Log Grasp Kai (fifth stage one obstacle): The same as usual with ten logs in the same direction, but they're walls blockin some parts of the obstacle. The walls make it so contestants must start on the left side, turn around and go backwards down the middle and finally go forwards through the end. Basically a maze version of the regular Log Grasp. Breaking Mazes (first stage one obstacle): Contestants must run through two mazes. But they better run or the floor will collapse as it's made from thick paper. The contestant starts by leaping into the first maze, navigating it and leaping over to the second and then through it to the finish. This will waste time but also be a real challenge. Tilt to Net (fourth stage one obstacle): The contestants must start by navigating a Double-Tilt Ladder and leaping five feet from that to a Cargo net and climb under it to safety. Ring Release (first stage three obstacle): The contestants must jump off the platform to a hanging ring. The goal is to use this ring to swing but it has three long ropes hanging through it which contestants must figure out how to remove. Then, when the ring is free, they'll swing over to another ring with three long ropes through it and have to do the same thing to reach the platform. Ring Jungle (first stage two obstacle): Like Rope Jungle from ANW. Contestants must cross over the water using twelve hanging rings. Two drop on a bungee and two slide down a track. Zip-a-dee-doo-dah (second stage one obstacle): Contestants must use lots of momentum to launch a zipline up an incline and fly with it over to the landing platform. There's ten ideas, what do you think? You try some emoticon
