. . . to the cancelation of Sasuke?
A big part of dozens of competitors lives revolves around Sasuke.
Including:
The All Stars, they have replicas of the course and train year round
The STQers, they put so much effort into getting on Sasuke
UNCLI members, they train like crazy on Cliff Hanger replicas
Americans such a David, who build obstacles and train on them
Some, such as Yamada Katsumi, have dedicated their lives to the contest.
How would they react to the cancelation on Sasuke?

I think they would think "Oh well it was just a game", but after a couple of months they would wake up one day and think "Damn, I miss Sasuke!" and start training to try to compensate the loss of a part of their lives. About Yamada Katsumi...oh my God, he wouldn't just cry. I really don't know what would he do then, the possibilities go from partial madness to building an entire Sasuke course and trying to beat it every day.

Maybe Yamada will finally be able to get a job better than "hotdog vendor".

LOL Maybe the All-Stars will breathe a slight sight of relief (especially Shingo at it for 12 straight years). As fun as it is.. it's a lot of stress to be a star of a show and being expected to do well all the time.

I agree with most of what's been said already, but I also think most of the competitors would miss each other. Some of them are really good friends, but since they live in different parts of Japan, Sasuke is the only time they get to see each other. The All Stars are from all over Japan and there are probably other groups this applies to as well.

IMO, I'd be afraid for Yamada's safety.

It just doesn't bare thinking about! I think I would be absolutely devestated, and I can't even imagine how the All-Stars would take it, particularly Yamada. Just don't leave him alone near any lengths of rope, sharp objects, or big drops.

Just saying...it's like his entire life. I certainly hope that if Sasuke ends, he is able to move on to other things (whatever they may be).

Big chunk of my life would go too. Aside from school and work, it's the biggest thing I've got going on
