Have to go with Nagano.
I've done both handstands and rope climbing as part of training, and I can tell you the risk of something going suddenly and seriously wrong is far more in the case of the former.
With rope climbing, it's very unlikely that you'll make a mistake that results in you suddenly falling given that you have your legs as support. The only way you're likely to fail is if you completely run out of strength, but you get ample warning of that via lactic acid build up and even if you are completely done you can still lower yourself down using your legs to assist you.
Re Nagano, with handstands it's very easy to feel like you're in control and then suddenly lose balance with very little warning. One slight sway can result in you toppling over really quickly. For Nagano, if that were to happen, given that it's on a mast really high up, there's literally zero failsafe if he did fall from any side, with the possible exception of if he fell backwards. If he toppled forwards, or fell either side of him, that's it. No way to recover himself unless he were to grab on to the top of the mast as he was falling, but that would be more of a lucky save more than a legitimate strategy to rely on.
So yeah, 100% Nagano. That's the one where I get shivers everytime I watch it lol.

Would it matter much that he's gripping something at the top of the mast or would some wind easily knock him off? Even if he is gripping something, the grip he'd be using to push against it wouldn't be ideal for hanging if he did get knocked off as it would sort of be on top of the support rather than kind of gripping under it. This is why people rotate their hands forwards when doing muscle ups between the pulling and pushing part of the movement. If he were to fall, in order to catch himself he'd probably have to miraculously readjust his grip or catch the side he's fallen on with his other hand or something. Yep, sudden gusts of wind could screw him up, and as mentioned with handstands it's quite common to be a case of fine, fine, fine, then sudden loss of balance. If he fell backwards he'd probably be ok as he'd get saved by the part of the mast behind him. Forwards, left, or right though.....

I feel like this also should be mentioned, despite it not being as well known. In the opening for SK6, Akiyama did cliffhanger training...by hanging off of a bridge

Yeah, agreed with azn on that being very dangerous, if you go back and watch the opening then you'll see that it wouldn't exactly have been a pleasant trip down were Akiyama to have lost his grip, to say the least...
