A random thought I had while at work. How many competing champions did each tournament have?
All 4 - 22, 40
3 - 21, 24, 25, 27, 28-31, 38
2 - 7-20, 23, 26, 32-37, 39
1 - 2,3,4,6
0 - 1,5
If we're talking all official present champions at the time, for example Akiyama was the only official champion from 5-17
1-4 - No Grand Champions yet
6 - 17, 20, 22, 24, 25, 28, 40
Any interesting insights/thoughts you have on this info?

With the list on official present grand champions:
0 - 1-5 1 - 6-17, 18-19, 21, 23 2 - 20, 22, 24, 26-27, 29-37, 39 3 - 25, 28, 38, 41 4 - 40
Specifically (again considering existing champions at the time only):
Akiyama: 6-17 Nagano: 18-19, 21, 23 Nagano and Akiyama: 20, 22, 24 Nagano and Yuuji: 26-27, 29-32 Nagano and Yusuke: None Akiyama and Yuuji: None Yusuke and Yuuji: 33-37 Nagano, Akiyama, and Yuuji: 25, 28 Nagano, Akiyama, and Yusuke: None Nagano, Yuuji, and Yusuke: 38, 41 All Four: 40
May have got some of these wrong as did this quickly. I'm also not counting tournaments where someone ran for fun but wasn't part of the official lineup, like Akiyama in 32 or Nagano in 34.

I know this was most likely made to consider the SASUKE grand champions, but I also did a similar list of SK tourneys, but also featuring international grand champions (or at least, people who have cleared the final stage in a tournament (which is why competitors like Travis Rosen, or Mohammed Farid Isham don't qualify), or ones who would do so in the future. Some of the people on this list might not be considered champions, but that's on a technicality, so as long as they cleared the final, they qualify)
SK22 - 5 (David Campbell) SK26 - 3 (David Campbell) SK27 - 4 (Drew & David Campbell) SK30 & 31 - 4 (Drew) SK32 to 37 - 3 (Drew, and Rene) SK41 - 5 (Rene, and Daniel Gill)
Edit: Forgot Drew blew out his knee in SK27

Totally forgot that Drew started his SASUKE career by blowing out his knee in SK27, thx for that callout. That Malaysian grand champion that you are referring too is Mohammed Farid Isham, whom I mentioned in brackets. Just to further clarify why he doesn't qualify, It honestly depends on if you consider SASUKE Malayasia as a tournament, or a trial (I've always considered it a trial however. It was shown briefly in the intro to SK27 and it was just some obstacles, and then a tower...not really a 4 stage tournament) but Sasukepedia also doesn't consider it a tournament though. Do what you will with that info but since he also isn't listed as a grand champion according to this on sasukepedia, it's why I mentioned him as someone who doesn't qualify, even though yes he did reach and clear the final.
