From rewatching the G4 version of Sasuke 14, after Nagano beats the cliffhanger he is shown shaking his arms out and appears to immediately rush into the new jumping bars which he fails. In the main broadcast, does he do the same or did G4 just edit things to speed things up? On the G4 edit, the subtitles for the announcer says "Without resting, Nagano begins!" Is this accurate?
If he really didn't rest after the cliffhanger, why did Nagano do this? The 6 jumping bars were a brand new obstacle and he's struggled before with swinging obstacles like in 9 and was tired a bit by the cliffhanger, why not use the 30 seconds rest?

Rewatched both the Original Broadcast, and G4's Edited Version, and this is what happened. In the Original Broadcast he is shown like in the G4 version to walk up to the start of the Jumping Bars. The difference starts right around there. After walking up, he bends his back, to reach powder. He grabs it in his hands, and rubs it on his hands. Then, it is shown that he is shaking his arms before attempting the Jumping Bars. Now, he did rush the Jumping Bars, as shown in both broadcasts, however, he didn't go immediately into the obstacle. To answer your question, yes G4 edited again something out of the broadcast. Which, I'm guessing they would want to dedicate more time to Shinji Kobayashi's run?

G4 generally skips a lot of the "bloat" from competitors' Stage 3 runs if they don't just fast-forward them entirely, which mainly just means glossing over their rest points. Don't forget that they sometimes have to cram both Stages 3 and 4 into a 20-minute broadcast, even less if you consider the post-advertisement recaps, Ninja killer sections, etc. And obviously, if Stage 3 comprises multiple runs worthy of being shown then they have to get tactical about how they show what they want to show with the time that they have.
It's not just Nagano's run, I've seen multiple cases on G4 where a competitor touches down to a rest point, then 5 seconds later they're off again. In most cases they've rested the full x seconds (usually 30 but inconsistent, was 20 in late Golden Era, has been up to a minute on and off, and was 2 minutes for Sasuke 40) but it's just been skipped over. TBS themselves actually skipped over Levi's rest period in Sasuke 23 iirc, lol.
