Shingo has been infamous for a lot of comical fails on Stage One. Which of these fails do you think he would clear if he didn't make a mistake from Shin-Sasuke onwards?
Sasuke 18-Time Out on Rope Ladder Sasuke 19-Half-Pipe Attack or Flying Chute Sasuke 20-Flying Chute Sasuke 21-Clear if no Flying Chute struggle Sasuke 22-Slider Jump Sasuke 24-Clear Sasuke 26-Jumping Spider or Half-Pipe Attack Sasuke 27-Clear Sasuke 28-Possible clear Sasuke 31-Warped Wall timeout Sasuke 32-Timeout Sasuke 33-Possible clear Sasuke 34-Possible Clear Sasuke 35-Dragon Glider Sasuke 36-Dragon Glider Sasuke 37-Dragon Glider or possible clear Sasuke 38-Possible clear Sasuke 39-Dragon Glider(don't think he would clear in the rain)

A lot of these weren't really mistakes. Mostly fair and square fails and usually due to a new or buffed obstacle. The only avoidable ones I could see realistically were 20-22, 24, 31, and maaaaybe 35 and 39.
18 - he just failed the Chute 19 - he failed the Jumping Spider due to it being buffed 20 - not sure if I would call this a mistake but he could've landed more carefully. But yeah agreed on Flying Chute otherwise. 21 - clear otherwise 22 - Slider Jump 24 - clear 26 - Escargot was a new obstacle and he didn't really make a mistake, just couldn't hold on 27-28 - again, not a mistake, he slipped on the Spin Bridge like many others; 27 because it was a new obstacle, 28 because it was buffed 31 - this was frustratingly avoidable. Otherwise I'd have him pegged at Orugoru; iirc a lot of people were expecting him to fail that lol 32-34 - wouldn't call these mistakes, each tournament the obstacle was buffed, and he just hit the trampoline poorly 35 - Dragon Glider; again though the Fish Bone was buffed so not entirely sure I could call this a Shingo moment 36 - failed the Wing Slider due to just slipping and it being buffed from the TIE Fighter, again not really a mistake 37 - just hit the trampoline poorly 38 - missed the second bar so not a mistake 39 - he failed the Silk Slider technically, otherwise absolute max would be Warped Wall given the rain.

I just noticed something about Shingo.
Whenever he has a long streak of Stage One fails (18-22),(26-28),(31-39), it's usually into the water, mostly before the Wall.
All of his Stage One timeouts are preceded by a Stage Three attempt and a clear in the following tournaments.
All his Stage One fails in the Golden Era and 24 has him wearing 96,97,98
All of his Shin-Sasuke fails (18-22), he wore he number ending in 1, (#31,#61,#71,#81)
He wore #92 in Sasuke 31, the beginning of fail streak and #92 in Sasuke 39 the end of the streak, though he also wore it in Sasuke 34.
From Sasuke 1 to 17, he has a 12/17 clear on Stage One
Honestly, I'm quite surprised he hasn't failed the wall in normal conditions, since he failed the Fish Bone in 39 and cleared it in 8 in rainy conditions and the summer heat in 15. Sasuke 13 trials is the only time he failed it, due to rain

Sasuke 13 trials is the only time he failed it, due to rain He used to be a track athlete when he was younger, so I'm not surprised he's not failed the wall. For all his mishaps and Shingo moments, he did, during his prime, have some of the best lower body strength and agility of the era. Even now at his age, he's still pretty fast and spritely.

I think he probably could've cleared in 32 as well, but that's really the only one I'd firmly disagree with. Though I can see him beating the FC in 20, it wasn't anywhere near as hard as 19's I believe.

Given that 32’s Stage 2 was incredibly lenient this could’ve legitimately happened if he hadn’t Shingo’d the Double Pendulum. Though not sure how well Shingo and a rainy Stage 3 course would go together. Lol.
