Okay here is my list, this gonna be controversial but here we go: S tier: 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 27, 31, 35, 40 A tier: 19, 36, 37 B tier: 3, 6, 9-16, 18, 20-26, 32-34, 37 C tier: 28, 30 D tier: 29 F tier: 39
31 is an S for me because that's the first tournament I watched live, and 39 feels way too unfair imo

Someone who likes 16 as much (well technically more but still) as I do. I’ve regularly seen tier lists rank 16 as the worst up to that point calling it D-tier but I’ve never understood why. It had a great course, great results, great editing, yet it’s often ranked as only one tier above 26 and 28 (eg the most offensive way I could describe this perspective). When I rewatched 16 a few weeks ago, I was surprised at how good it was. I thought it was one of the best tournaments up to that point. We got three All-Stars in Stage 3 (plus Kongu), two nail-biting Pipe Slider attempts, and Nagano's second attempt at the Devil Balanco. If you were watching it live, you were probably on the edge of your seat.

If you were watching it live, you were probably on the edge of your seat. Yeah I agree. I think people give it flack because it was the third tournament in a row with no Final Stage attempt but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. Sure, 20 and 34 being the only other third tournaments in a row with a Stage 3 ending doesn't really bode well with that statement, but the reason those tournaments were bad was because there was no real feeling of progression and both ended where everyone expected it to end. 16 by comparison had good progression all round and a lot of shock fails from prominent competitors. Stage 1 was easy, sure, but quite creative and it was nice to see some new people clearing. Stage 2 was probably honestly the best in the entire Golden Era; for once it actually felt like a legitimate hurdle to overcome rather than a glorified gateway to Stage 3. And on Stage 3 we had a great mix of breaking through plateaus and shock fails. Me personally, I regard 15 in the same way that others seem to regard 16. That tournament actually had no progression so it felt kind of sandwiched in between 14's renewal and 16 where results started to finally pick up. It being the only heatwave tournament was a plus point for sure, but apart from that it just seemed a touch undramatic compared to the other tournaments in the era. Nagano's shock fail and Bunpei were the only things that carried it for me.

The bests: Sasuke 2 for excitement Sasuke 4 for Akiyama kanzen Sasuke 11-13 for Nagano finals and many famous sasuke star in here beside all stars like Masaki Kobayashi, Naoki Iketani, Shinji Kobayashi, etc(Sasuke 14-15 is nice because many stars but no one enters final) Sasuke 17 for Nagano kanzen as most historical Sasuke kanzenseiha ever and many stars in Sasuke 17 Sasuke 23 for the meeting of old(Kenji Takahashi, Toshihiro Takeda, etc) and new stars(Levi Meunberg, Hitoshi Kanno, etc), and only post-nagano Sasuke which the 2nd stage is 70 seconds or below, since 65-70 seconds in 2nd stage is nostalgic for me remembering the golden era of Sasuke, despite Nagano failure, Sasuke 23 is one of the best Sasuke without kanzen Sasuke 24 for Urusihara kanzen and 5 finalists enter final, but sorry the final is not perfect since Urusihara not become last man standing, if the time can be reset Kanno must get 93, and Urusihara get 99 Sasuke 31 for Yusuke kanzen despite Takeda not advances to 2nd stage and the tournament not broadcasted live Sasuke 36 for 1st live final despite none winning the tournament Sasuke 37 for 2nd live final despite none winning the tournament and also no Takeda, in addition to that I want the 2nd stage is max 70-90 s and 8/9 obstacles in 3rd stage, but it's not happen, despite to that, Sasuke 37 is one of the best tournament for me, and the final is watched live by many spectactors Sasuke 40 for many records in special edition for 25th Sasuke anniversary and 40 episode celebration simultaneously, from 3 women contestants in 2nd stage, age records for old contestants in 2nd and 3rd stage, most 3rd stage participants, despite no winner in this tournament from 3 finalists and the final is broadcasted by tapping, the is one of the best tournament in Sasuke history...
Sasuke 3 is nice but all 5 finalists fail Sasuke 18-19 nice in terms of seeing the brutality of Sasuke since the challenges is very difficult Sasuke 27 is crazy because the G4 air broadcast is 21 August but the Sasuke is 3 October, I think Sasuke airing is hybrid live and tapping from Sasuke 1-26, and 12 years ago I don't like this because this is the 1st full tapping, however, after the research no live tournaments before Sasuke 36, and also Urusihara winning Sasuke in partially dark because the tournament finished before the sunrise(Previously before the research I think the final is held on different day on the sunset time or the television graphic(pre sunrise time/sunset time) is different than the original graphic(night time)), but I happy because Urusihara finally win Sasuke as the last man standing Sasuke 34 no one advances to final but Jessie Graff become 2nd women in 2nd stage and 1st women in 3rd stage Sasuke 38 is not the best tournament despite Yusuke win again, since the final is broadcasted tapping because of covid 19 pandemic, and I hope the winner celebration is broadcasted live and watched by many people in the final location

So, I decided to finally make my list since everyone else seems to be doing it. I know that it's long overdue, but hey, figured I wanna get it out of the way! Also, I'll be putting my personal favorite in brackets, knowing that I don't wanna show too much favoritism by putting it at the top of the list lol. (For future reference, I honestly might edit this in the future since my opinions are subject to change. I now also added 41 since it was just released for anyone reading this.)
S - 8, 17, 27 A - 4, 7, 11, 12, 16, 23, 30, 31, 36, 40 B - 1, 3, 6, 9, 14, [21], 24, 34, 37, 38, 39, 41 C - 2, 10, 13, 18, 19, 22, 25, 29, 35 D - 5, 20, 26 E - 15, 33 F - 28, 32
