If you had to pick a Sasuke Dream Team to take on all four stages, who would you choose? Assume you can only pick one competitor for each stage and that the course would be the hardest realistic versions of each stage (say, 19’s Stage 1, 29’s Stage 2 but with a more reasonable Backstream, 25’s Stage 3, and the current final).
Mine would be: Stage 1 - Jun Sato Stage 2 - Yoshiyuki Yamamoto Stage 3 - Yusuke Morimoto Stage 4 - Keitaro Yamamoto
I know the most latter is probably an odd choice but for me Yusuke’s gotta be the one to take on Stage 3, while Keitaro’s shown to also be explosively fast on the Salmon Ladder and Spider Walk so is a good candidate to take on the final stage. I would’ve considered Tada but he attempted the stage in 37 and didn’t do all that well. Yoshiyuki I picked for Stage 2 given that he’s had the fastest times on both of his attempts, then Sato I picked for Stage 1 for obvious reasons.

I'd say 38's stage 3 is much more difficult than 25's, for the cliffhanger dimension and vertical limit alone. I think 33's is harder than 38 but you said realistic so... Either way, I think I'd have to go: Stage 1 - Jun Sato Stage 2 - Isa Yoshinori Stage 3 - Yoshiyuki Yamamoto Stage 4 - Yusuke Morimoto
Jun Sato is probably our most safe bet for any stage one (outside of someone like Yusuke who is arguably weaker or Jessie Graff who has plot armour). Stage 2 was a hard pick but Isa Yoshinori seems pretty kitted out considering I can't use either of the other three. Yoshiyuki on stage three since I honestly think I can do it (whether it is 25's or 38's stage three, the man is a beast) Yusuke on the final since we have seen him do it and I don't think anyone else is as safe a pick as him.

Stage 1: Yuuji Urushihara Stage 2: Tatsuya Tada Stage 3: Yoshiyuki Yamamoto Stage 4: Yusuke Morimoto
I picked Yuuji since he's been much more consistent since his resurgence. I was considering him for Stage 2 considering he only barely lost and that run alone convinced me he could at least beat Stage 2. Even during his slump he still beat Level 1 in Ultimate Beast master which I felt was pretty impressive given how difficult Beastmaster was.
Tada I picked for Stage 2 because he's cleared it 3/3 and I wanted to save Yoshiyuki and Yusuke for the later 2 stages for obvious reasons. I suppose I could have picked Sato, but Tada clearing 38's Stage 2 with more time gave me a better feeling about him.

Are we using the competitors as they are now, or at their peak? That would change my list a lot. I think I'll go with: Stage 1- Jun Sato. A complete beast on stage 1, getting fast times and always making it look so easy. Stage 2- Kongu. He may have problems with the other stages, but aside from that one stupid Swap Salmon Ladder malfunction and his final attempt, he's been flawless on this stage throughout the years. Including the OP 29 version. Stage 3- Yuuji Urushihara. Has done well with numerous versions of the stage throughout the years. Even the 35-38 one. I have a bit more faith in him than Yoshiyuki, since he's proven he can get past the Vertical Limit, which we haven't seen from Yoshiyuki. Stage 4- Yusuke Morimoto. Was it really gonna be anyone else for the 32-38 final?

Assume they’re in the same condition as they are now.
Yeah I suppose you’re right about 38 being harder than 25’s. Just some people almost associate 25’s Stage 3 as almost a 32-34 equivalent but I don’t agree given that ANW basically used that template and we got a couple of clears eventually.
Yeah I suppose going with Yoshiyuki for Stage 3 and Yusuke for Stage 4 is a good shout as well. For me I just felt it was safer putting Morimoto in Stage 3 as that’s arguably where he beats out most of the other competitors; by comparison we’ve seen barely anyone else attempt the Final and I felt Keitaro has an equivalently small stature but explosive power to Morimoto. I also think putting Keitaro in Stage 3 might be a bad idea given that he’s never attempted it in competition. A part of me also thinks Yoshiyuki’s Cliffhanger Dimension clear may have been a tad lucky as he only barely just grabbed the ledge.

A part of me also thinks Yoshiyuki’s Cliffhanger Dimension clear may have been a tad lucky as he only barely just grabbed the ledge. I don't think that's fully fair, ANW 6 toned down the cliffhanger by shortening gaps and thickening the ledges from 3 cm to just over 5cm, and the stage still took out everyone in competition and was only beaten in USA vs. The World. Plus, 25's cliffhanger had larger gaps than were present in ANW's. I do think, however, that current competitors could give the course a run for it's money, but I'm not totally sure that even Yusuke could finish that stage. That being said, my picks for the question would be: Stage 1: Jun Sato Stage 2: Isa Yoshinori Stage 3: Yoshiyuki Yamamoto Stage 4: Yusuke Morimoto My team is full of shocks, I know, /s, but sometimes the obvious choices are the correct ones.

I’m kind of surprised people are picking Isa for Stage 2. He would’ve timed out in 37 had the Rolling Log not been cancelled and barely made it in 38. I don’t think he would’ve had a chance on 29’s Stage 2 given that it was only 90 seconds as well as having the Swap Salmon Ladder + Unstable Bridge which took way longer to complete than the Nobori/Kudari version.
I picked Yoshiyuki for Stage 2 because bar Morimoto (who I picked for Stage 3) he’s the only person I can see being fast enough on the entire course to clear. Most people who would do well on the first half like Yuuji or Ryo would suffer in the more strength based Backstream+Wall Lift while the bigger competitors would be too slow on the Spider Walk. And with only 90 seconds speed on every obstacle matters. Tada or Hioki I would’ve considered picking as well but Yoshiyuki’s ultimately shown to be both faster and more powerful.
