Hi everyone,
This isn't going to be a very in-depth topic as it's just a simple question, but I thought asking in this section had a better chance of getting a response, and it is related to ANW after all.
I've been to a few ANW tapings at this point, and I'd like to do a behind-the-scenes rundown of things that happened but didn't make it on-screen (possibly on YouTube). For some reason, I remember reading years ago that the NDAs expire two years after they've been signed. Does anyone know if this is true? And if it is true, does that mean I'm allowed to openly discuss my experience?
I don't want to do anything sleazy and if the answer is no, I simply won't do it, but I wanted to ask as it's already been two years since I went to Cinci.

I would think it’s fine. Especially since the taping has already aired. Just use your judgment if you feel like it’s something someone wouldn’t want shown of themselves(like private or embarrassing).
Also I believe that is true after 2 years on the contract.

Yeah, this is more just "The stuff they don't show you" on the course - Cane Lane breaking, Drew Drechsel initially being DQed in Orlando Finals, etc.

But I do know ANW now wants to pretend Drew never existed (And I totally don't blame them for that). I'd tread carefully with the Drew part.

If you post it on YouTube it shouldn’t really matter. Just don’t tag ANW in it.

Thank you! Yeah, this is more just "The stuff they don't show you" on the course - Cane Lane breaking, Drew Drechsel initially being DQed in Orlando Finals, etc. Wait what In Indianapolis Finals, the Tower of Power (forget which to be honest) was attempting Cane Lane and the first pole completely snapped when he was in the middle of it. It was about 45 minutes of them trying to repair the obstacle and make their quick fix as similar to the original as possible. Then they gave him a redo on the fixed track and he cleared it, but the track was quite obviously screwed-up so that the cane kept sliding back towards the middle. Luckily, he was the second-to-last runner (Isaac being the last), so it didn't matter too much and he moved on anyway. But definitely not fair to him. In Orlando Finals 2015 Drew was DQed initially for his Double Helix dismount as they believed he touched the water at first (you can even see the course is red in one of the shots they used on the real show), but he protested and they let him continue as they realized he wasn't eliminated. -- While I agree that it probably wouldn't be an issue to make this sort of thing, I'm now starting to question if it's a good idea - especially under my name. I don't want them to be upset with me for seeming like I'm picking out flaws or something. Plus, I should probably be 100% sure on the legality before making it. Well, it's an idea I'll save for the time being. Although I did reveal two of my bigger "stories" already anyway lol. Thank you all for your response!

Drew potentially got Dq’d somewhere else and he told production to review while he kept running. I don’t remember what season.

Which obstacle? S12 didn't have many DQ'able obstacles tbh aha It was season 7, I remember the episode It was on the double helix when he made an early dismount and his foot almost dipped in the water. The red showed but on replay they realized he didn't tap the water. Most DQs aren't aired on TV. Most DQs are accidental contact with a support piece or truss. For example in LA 2015, the Spin Cycle was a DQ machine. Or in 2016 Atlanta a few were disqualified on the Big Dipper. Using the Truss to help you dismount is usually considered a no-no. I remember in 2013 Thomas Stefanik had cleared Denver Qualifying, but was later disqualified for putting both hands on a side of the Grip Hang. I've heard of instances of NBC totally deleting a competitors' results from a competition even before the Drew blacklisting. (Will Dodd 2013, Jason Soares 2014, Sean Bennett 2014, Shane Daniels 2013) It's all really weird how it works but stuff like that is all NBC's discretion
With NDA's and competition, majority of ppl violate it, it's really only enforced if you are caught. Like when competitors made replicas of obstacles in the ATS obstacle testing warehouse. Or when someone online leaks results early and is banned from attending events. Just keep spoilers in your private chats until the episode airs, and then ur pretty much free to discuss what happened in most cases.

oh yeah idk if im allowed 2 say this but nbc has ats send blueprints of the obstacles ahead of time to the top stars so they can practice early. i'm not against it tbh, cause it helps get better results. i'd honestly do the same.

Why do they send blueprints to Some Players and not others?
How is that fair?

Well don’t just throw Drew under the bus cause he’s in jail now, cause I’m sure there’s others if they did it for him. It’s sad if that’s true though.
