Which competitors who failed the stage would have cleared it with no trouble had they not made a mistake.

Nagano in 24. Dismounted too early on the Jumping Spider because he was trying to speed through the stage.
Shingo in 22 -- falling off the landing platform of the Half-Pipe Attack. A silly mental error.
Urushihara in 23 on the Unstable Bridge. I'm not sure what he was thinking. Should've done what most people do and kick off with your toe to get a bigger swing before the dismount.

Takeda in 38 had he not skipped the last Fish Bone pedestal.
Iijima in 11 had he not spent all that time posing to the crowd, even with that Warped Wall miss he would've had more than enough time to clear.
Kinnikun in 29 had the Tarzan Rope not gotten caught on him.
Kong in 23 and 30 had he taken one more swing on the Gliding Ring and not fallen prey to that BS Swap Salmon Ladder rule (respectively).
Yamada in 10 had he swung his body one more time on the Pipe Slider.
Bunpei in 13 had he lowered himself before swinging.
D*** in 36 had he not been too careless on the slide.

Yamada if he didn't waste time with the tape in 9.
Nagano if the pipe didn't roll away in 16.
Takeda in 23, if he didn't put his foot forward.
Shingo if his foot didn't get trapped on the last wall in 13 or if he didn't rush on the Balance tank in 25.

I would honestly say Shingo in 21 had he had just a LITTLE more speed on the flying chute. He had the time up until then... then he doldrummed.

Yeah Shingo in 21 was always an odd one for me. He had like almost a full minute left when he got to the Flying Chute so he was in the perfect position to clear. I'd honestly guess the increased distance since his last attempt in 18 spooked him (and given what happened to Haga and Iketani later in the tournament, I don't blame him), so he tried to slow it down and resultantly he couldn't build up the momentum to reach the net. With the Flying Chute you NEED the rebound and Shingo didn't get any as a result of slowing down. For someone who has a penchant for failing due to rushing, his failure in 21 was odd to say the least.
