The creativity of these stages are on par with that of M9 if you ask me:
Water Themed Stage 2:
Interconnected Stage 2:
Kanzen Renewal Stage 1:
There are more, but these types of videos with the automated, high pitched, Japanese voice seem to be spread across multiple channels. I saw some really good other ones not too long ago with original obstacles. I'll update the thread if I find them.

‘DuDe WoT AbOUt the BUDGET’
Nah jk. Yeah I’ve seen a load of these and a lot of them are really creative. I remember seeing one in Stage 3 about a Roulette Cylinder except with Cliffhanger ledges as edges rather than bars.
R/e these ones you’ve linked, an underwater Stage 2, even with a bigger budget wouldn’t be feasible and imo is biased too much towards swimming skill rather than speed etc (pointing out the obvious I know but still).
As for the interconnected Stage 2, I honestly think that’s a great idea in theory but given the Backstream it could actually be pretty dangerous; a lot of guys will be completely spent by the time they’d reach the obstacle so there’s a genuine risk of drowning; now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying don’t implement it, rather remove the Backstream and replace with something else (not sure off the top of my head what a Spider Drop would Segway into). Alas we know the swimming obstacle isn’t going anywhere in reality.

Spider Drop into Balance Tank maybe?
I agree that the biggest problem with modern SASUKE is we get too few changes and the changes we do get are generally nerfed versions of ANW obstacles. I get most of this is due to budget and H&S, but to me if the obstacles are ineffective there's no point in keeping them.

I would love that, expect the Health and Safety probably won't accept that *I mean, no firm ground to stand on before Balance Tank? That's asking for an injury*.

Maybe you're right. I was thinking of having it a little forward from the walls rather than under the walls and the tank would be locked in to prevent it from rolling prematurely. But yeah the Balance Tank by itself did have some pretty scary fails (ex. Yamada in 11, Bunpei in 14, and Kanno in 25) and Koji Yamada's near fall in 12 as well. So I guess I can see the potential for injury being worse if being boarded from the Spider Walk.
I did have a few other ideas. Maybe it could lead into the Net Bridge. Combine that with a lower time limit then you got a brutal combo there.

Ditch the Spider Drop and just have the Spider Walk feed into Pole Maze or Rope Jungle.
The reason I say ditch the former is to allow the competitors to build up momentum on the Spider Walk which they need to maintain to thrust themselves forward for the next obstacle. I think a SW into Pole Maze could be pretty interesting.
