What happened to Takasu Seiki, the guy Nagano trained after he retired in Sasuke 32 ? When I first saw his run, I thought he was going to be like one of Yamada's Black Tigers like Yamamoto, but after Sasuke 35, he just vanished.

Probably just rage quit after he failed Stage 1 in 35 lol.
Tbh I found him massively overhyped and an example of 'Stage 2 fodder'; someone who benefitted from an easy Stage 1 but had absolutely no chance on the Salmon Ladder. Never saw him as a particularly strong competitor personally.

Nagano also trained his sister for Kunoichi. And his wife competed in Kunoichi 8.

TBS probably stopped inviting him back when they decided to further capitalize off of Morimoto being Nagano's protege (I know they started this in 33, but still). Guess Nagano also didn't want a Gundan like Yamada has. Other than that, I can say Seiki didn't seem that invested in the show, he struck me more as someone who was just trying it because his friend was legendary on there. He did okay for a first try, but you could tell he really never trained for the show at a professional level after that. His technique on the Salmon Ladder was worse than ABC-Z's.

My best guess was maybe Seiki wanted to continue but TBS didn't invite him back due to not having as much spotlight (even though he is Nagano's protégé) as all other well-known competitors or celebrities; either that and/or there were about 4,000 applicants for SASUKE 36 so they possibly cut him off just like that for newer batches of contestants. Even though he did beat stage one in his first two attempts, TBS still saw no potential in him making stage three due to him easily failing the salmon ladder both times, so they probably didn't bother inviting him back--basically, the same thing that happened to Igarashi Dai.

Dai Igarashi I actually felt had potential. He put down some seriously quick Stage 1 times if that's anything to go by. All of his runs got digested though so there's not much else to say. I do know from his Instagram that he had a kid around the time of Sasuke 35, so maybe that's why he hasn't been competing recently. He does still practice though and his Salmon Ladder technique seems to have improved, so I feel like if he's addressed his supposed Achilles' heel and given his speed he could genuinely make Stage 3.
Nagano's protege though I just felt was massively overhyped just as a function of being Nagano's protege. None of Nagano's magic seemed to rub off on him, as he was an 'okay' competitor at best. In both of his runs, even if he had cleared the Salmon Ladder, he was so slow on both the Nobori and Kudari that he would've easily timed out nowhere near the finish line.
