See poll.
Personally, I only know two announcers by name; I had to look the others up and was surprised to see that there were so many of them over the past few years.
My personal favorite is Hatsuta, because he always sounds like he's having a good time, and I love it when he can't keep it together and laughs when a competitor is particularly ridiculous or something goes hilariously wrong during a run. Also, he seems to gently mock the competitors at times, which can be quite funny. I just hope he had good security on the show and never ran into some of these people in the parking lot afterward.
I also get a good chuckle out of Furutachi's poetic utterances (assuming that's not just G4 completely inventing things). But he's so solemn and serious at times that I think it detracts from the fun of the show.
The more recent commentators are, to me, kind of bland -- they seem less distinctive in personality and style than Hatsuta and Furutachi. But then, I don't understand Japanese, and there are no subtitles like in the G4 days, so...

Pretty sure G4 has been said to make up like 90% of their subtitles. I know I was surprised to hear that. Unfortunately I know none of these guys by name.

Furutachi is the guy who announced Stages 2-4 until Sasuke 12; the guy with the super raspy voice, he was defo my favourite and the only one I remember by name, because his narration really created a far more dramatic environment whether a competitor had failed, succeeded, was struggling, or dominating. Everyone else just seems quite bland by comparison imo; except for the guy who narrated Stages 2-3 from Sasuke 36-38 but that's not in a good sense. His voice was honestly just gratingly high pitched and almost came across as screaming in some cases.

Furutachi is definitely the GOAT announcer imo. He both had the best voice (distinctive and raspy), as well as the best personality. He always made every run exciting. Hatsuta is similarly great but not quite on the level of Furutachi. Third place for me would be Sato Fumiyasu, simply because I love the way he called Tako Tencho's run in Sasuke 26 (lol). And I agree that the announcers nowadays are simply not as good.

I hope one day Furutachi returns to announce one more tournament, maybe the 40th one but who knows. Some of the most iconic moments where from the show and it's pretty obvious he will never be overtaken. Nothing was more hype than how he started each of his tournaments too.

Furutachi, simply because he brought a whole different level of energy to Stages 3 and 4 while still keeping the course's serious tone. It's something that really hasn't been replicated. Every time he announced Stage 4 EVERYTHING about it was a show

Most people would argue that Hatsuda Keisuke was the voice of SASUKE just because he's announced more tournaments than any other announcer; and while he is still my second favorite announcer, it is Furutachi Ichiro who takes it. His raspy voice, the way he yells when something good/bad/shocking occurs, and his initial "SASUKE!" scream at the beginning of each competition from 1-12 (where all the competitors are grouped together), is what the true voice of SASUKE should resemble in my opinion. He'll always go down as my favorite, and though it is unlikely, I hope he is able to return to announce at least one tournament in the future.

Furutachi Ichiro, of course. He is the sole reason I put Golden Era as SASUKE 1-12, as well as putting a Competitors Shout montage from SASUKE 1-12.

Hatsuta was actually one of my favorite announcer of SASUKE and other-related shows belongs to him; also Hatsuta is the voice of SASUKE, being announced more tournaments than any other announcers in SASUKE/KUNOICHI; also more than Ogasawara and Komada (both of them also as announcers on Kinniku Banzuke), however in Furutachi case would be iconic voice in Kinniku Banzuke, SASUKE, and Pro Sportsman No.1 as main announcer for years, Furutachi also putting on original golden-era as in SASUKE 1-12; from Tatsuo Nakano in the 1st tournament all way to Makoto Nagano in the 12th tournament, will be not forgotten his voices along with Hatsuta, Komada, Ogasawara, and some others.
