I might use wrong category on this one, so, Moderators and Admins, please feel free to move it if you think this better enter other category instead.
I'm trying to put English subtitle to important moments/runs in SASUKE. So far, one is finished. And I had other moments/runs to be translated soon. Feel free to give it a watch! And, maybe subscribe *although not need to do it if you don't want to do it* to my channel?
Also, if you had recommendations of what moment/run you wanted to get the translation of, please tell me here!
Akiyama Kazuhiko's Kanzenseiha Run in SASUKE 4, subtitled:

This is awesome! It gives watching Sasuke a whole new meaning! I suppose it was right after the victory that Akiyama revealed the eyesight problem, hence the comment from Furutachi.
I've always wanted to hear Makoto Nagano's speech translation in Sasuke 17. Though copyright makes that difficult. I think it was posted here a few years ago but I've had no luck finding it.
If possible, it would be fantastic to translate Yamada's 3rd stage run from 6 and 10 along with the heartbreaking interviews at the end.
If you have time, perhaps add Kane's final stage on Sasuke 8. Furutachi's dramatic commentary really makes that scene special.
Massive thanks for this.

I think only runs that was copyrighted, the interview is safe *hence why I only put screenshots instead for Akiyama's run*. Funnily, all of your recommendations is what I typed earlier with what I'm gonna translate soon 😂. I'm currently translating Yamada's "I only have SASUKE" speech *I'm sure if I try to translate the entire run, the copyrights will prevent it*.

First off, thank you for subbing this. A couple things though: The blue text is pretty hard to read. As for copyright issues, you could put it on Mega.nz (They have a player now, no need to download it to watch).

Hey, nice video you got there. Keep up the good work other than the fact that the climb is 2 meters per second (not one meter for two seconds) and the screenshots due to copyrights.
I can understand the Tranditional (and Simplified) Mandarin pretty well and so the translation in the video is not an issue for me. (If you were to take a look on the X-Warrior thread)
By the way, for the subtitles, please add a black/white outline so it would make the words much easier to see.

No, it is one metre every two seconds. Hence, 15 metres in 30 seconds. If I follow the wrong translation given by JET, which is two metres every one second, we will had 60 metres for 30 seconds. Beside, Furutachi said "Ichi Metoru Ni Byo...".

Damn, even JET sometimes also screwed up with their translation.

One of the most emotional interview of all-time in SASUKE, with a quote that will get repeated every time the person who spoke it appeared on the screen *and probably made some of you sick here. Especially Arsenette during her blog*.
Yamada Katsumi's interview in SASUKE 10, subtitled:

Great job, Chibi! If I may make a couple suggestions: Two of the subtitles don't appear on-screen long enough to really make an impact:
"What job you are going to do in the future?" at 2:38
and
"SA, SASUKE is the only thing I have." at 3:06.
If you could leave those subtitles on-screen for another 3-4 seconds, I think it would improve the video considerably. Thanks!

I put the subtitles in based on the sound, so, if the speaker stop speaking, just 0.X seconds later, the translation disappear. But, thank you for the suggestion, will keep that in mind.

This is awesome, gives an entirely new meaning to the run and interview, for obvious reasons.
Really shows how committed he was to SASUKE; 36 years old and having alienated his family and sacrificed his career for the show, yet still once again came up short. I think that was his exact problem: he gave up so much for the prospect of Total Victory that he just couldn't perform well enough with that level of pressure on him; wearing #100, being the backbone of the show at the time, and his personal sacrifices. It was easy to insinuate because the guy trained 6 hours a day, yet made some of the most memorable rookie errors like in SASUKE 9 and 12, and regressed further and further since his comeback in 14 because of the mounting hits to his already shattered confidence that a larger and larger streak of Stage 1 failures caused.
A part of me obviously feels bad for the guy because he never realized his dream despite training harder than anyone else, as well as seeing competitor after competitor surpass his efforts. The majority of me though believes that he brought this on himself, and his unhealthy devotion caused him to be the least likable of the All-Stars, displaying several characteristics like jealousy, dishonesty (like lying about the buzzer not working when he clearly timed out, as well as claiming Akiyama cheated in Quick Muscle), and pure selfishness. His 0 or 100 mentality was destructive to himself and his family, where so many other competitors balanced their priorities between SASUKE, family, and work.

I am completely blown away by how poetic it is.
"Man was born by fate, live by fate, burned by a mission. "I only have Sasuke", Yamada katsumi, 36 years old."
Just wow.
I know I already gave you ideas but I suddenly remembered about Takeda in 17. It wasn't very long. I suppose he talked about his family but I don't know exactly.

On the subject of Takeda, when did he get divorced from his first wife?
His kids must be quite old now, like 18 or something.

In Sasuke 30 before stage 2 run you can see it in his VTR. He looks to be having somewhat of a midlife crisis and he has left his job and family behind and became a kaatsu trainer.

His first kid with his first wife is already 20 years old. I know because my age with him is same, for one. Another fact is that in SASUKE 5 cardboard that show competitors to clear First Stage *the second time they do that beside SASUKE 1*, it is stated that Takeda's wife was expecting a baby on June. That is why I kinda freaked out finding that, because, you see how Takeda's wife reacting when he clear the First Stage. She is jumping around like a crazy person, while being pregnant for four/five months.

So he was the one who left them behind?
I was wondering when it happened but after seeing your comment I watched that VTR and it stated 'Sara ni Rikon' which roughly translates to divorce, so it must've been around 2014 time.
I wonder if he's in contact with his children as he seemed like such a family man in his earlier days; his gym is cool af though, not as cool as Shingo's I must say.

I have to admit, it's awesome to see these runs subtitled! What I would give for a boxset of the original Japanese Sasuke broadcasts, with all the copyrighted music removed or replaced, plus English subtitles so that we can finally understand what is fully going on!

Me too.
Knowing a very small amount of Japanese, I honestly think it's shameful the extent to which G4 intentionally wrongly subtitles the commentary. Literally 90% of it isn't what the commentator is saying, and honestly having seen a few subtitled runs, the original commentary rocks!
