I watched the first half of these so I saw every room set-up, and I honestly still don't know if I like it or not??
The lava itself is really well done, and the room puzzles are simple but still tricky to do so there's a nice, medium difficulty level to the whole thing. I think it was just that 90% of the teams were composed of genuinely unlikeable people?
On the whole it's not bad though - I went in out of curiosity expecting it to be unendurably terrible, and was actually pleasantly surprised! Get less obnoxious contestants and it would be really solid, I think.

It kind of reminds me of streamers, where most are either really loud or not that interesting, and would be better off doing more focused highlight videos.
From the behind the scenes video, I can see why they chose the people they did, but many of these contestants are the kinds of people who would be more fun to see in smaller doses. Imagine the Triplets as a team on the new Wipeout, for example.
I think the potential casting issues stand out more because the show focuses on a smaller selection of people each episode while having a slower pace that also emphasizes thinking out loud.
So we're watching mostly regular people trying to figure stuff out for a lengthy amount of time while hamming it up for the cameras.
I suppose that's the point, but I think this is why I don't remember most of the teams that ran between the first and last episodes without skimming through the episodes. There were the store workers because one of the girls had that hero save at the end, and the upbeat rock climbers because they were the only climbers and seemed to be having fun.
I remember they had at least two or three runs shown already in progress, but generally still around the start. I'm wondering if future seasons could speed things along and feature more teams, either deeper in their runs or through montages. This could give more opportunities for some entertaining wipeouts.
The last episode is basically Teamwork 101, and I think it was a good one to end the season.

Lots of changes this season, honestly all good in my book.
For starters, you must get an exit pass to leave forcing everyone to take different paths. The first run is a trial run to see if your team moves onto the 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 final run. Then the final run, Volcano, is a 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 climb for the win. On top of having live commentary, and bringing previous opponents to bring commentary too, this is so much more enjoyable. Great season, I expect to see a S3.

Caught up on the season. Really creative designs still and they've brought on some really genuinely skilled competitors this time around. Really enjoying it, though I would like them to stop forcing the contestants to overact so we can see their more natural personalities.
