-If Travis Allen Schraeder didn't detach the pipe in the Pipe Slider in Sasuke 4, he would've achieved kanzen along with Akiyama. He was trained in the navy with rope climbing -If Yamada didn't fall off at the end of the pipe slider in Sasuke 6, I really think he could've had a shot. He was 34 then, so he was still in his athletic prime. -If Takeda ever cleared the third stage he would've had a great shot, considering the climbing he's done as a firefighter. -It still blows my mind how Nagano was one-tenth of a second from kanzen in Sasuke 12. Imagine how different the show's history would be if he got it then, instead of 5 tournaments later. It's amazing Takeda has to this day never shown footage of himself climbing a rope.

I don't think Yamada would've cleared personally. He has a penchant for making mental errors because of his obsessive nature and he's not as fast as Nagano who failed that Final Stage 3 times before clearing it.
I have seen a video somewhere of Takeda climbing a rope, as well as the one where he climbs in his uniform. He defo used to be an insane rope climber; it's a pre-requisite for being a firefighter I feel.

I personally don't think Takeda was a guaranteed Kanzen if he cleared Stage 3. People like Yuuji, Nagano and Morimoto were/are also insane on the Final Stage, but even for them it was never a guaranteed thing.
We've seen insanely unlucky Final Stages before, such as Nagano in 12/23, Kongu in 24 and Morimoto in 36. Takeda was not a sure thing by any stretch of the imagination.

Remember, Yamada around this time is not yet declining in both mental and physical. He was in his prime and best condition ever, no doubt about that *this is so evident when he flew through Body Prop like it was not even there*. He still had full support of his family *even the entire neighbourhood support him before SASUKE 6*, and don't forget, he already train intensively for that new Final Stage, which at that time not yet being attempted by anyone. For me, this is always the biggest What If situation in SASUKE. If only he kneel during his dismount, we will definitely never see Yamada's mental decline drastically, as after this tournament, this failure always haunt him. This is again was so evident when he fail Pipe Slider again in SASUKE 10, he said to his parents that "This time it was stable".

Maybe. It's interesting how some competitors have made it through heartbreaking defeats and have come out the other end (like Nagano), yet with others a single tournament ruins the rest of their career. Yamada I'd argue it was SASUKE 3, because he would've never got that trademark obsession if it wasn't for his near Kanzen, but SASUKE 6 and 10 defo didn't help. Similarly, Takeda would've been mentally f**cked by SASUKE 24, seeing 5 people before him clear, some of which it was barely their first or second time in the 3rd stage, yet Takeda had made it there 13 times and still couldn't get through. Funnily enough he's never made it back to Stage 3 since then.

His obsession of Kanzenseiha is basically what kept SASUKE alive in early days. Who first built SASUKE course at his/her home? Yamada with his Spider Walk + Pipe Slider. Who is the first ever competitor to get long fluff piece in SASUKE? Yamada in SASUKE 3. Who was the first ever competitor to get his/her own theme song? Yamada in SASUKE 5. Who is the competitor first considered for SASUKE All-Stars membership after Akiyama? Yamada. When Akiyama was absent in SASUKE 5, who they push as their main man? Yamada.
If he achieve Kanzenseiha in SASUKE 3, he will call it the end of his SASUKE career. That for some part is the blessing in disguise, as definitely he won't enter another SASUKE as he had nothing more to proof, will prevent Akiyama from winning SASUKE 4 as there will be major renewal in that tournament, and probably will made SASUKE days ended around the same time when Kinniku Banzuke was cancelled.

I don't think that would've resulted in Sasuke's cancellation. Just that had Yamada achieved Kanzen in SASUKE 3, the changes brought about in SASUKE 5 would've been done a tournament earlier. There were a lot of competitors that would've still kept the tournament alive, like Yamamoto, Omori, Akiyama, and most importantly Kane Kosugi; he was almost more important than Yamada as a mascot of SASUKE due to his fame, hence why they put him as the main guy on the SASUKE video game cover. Kane was perhaps the reason why the All-Stars were formed; he left after SASUKE 8, so they predicted a mega drop in ratings especially after so much would've been expected of Kane, so they needed something to keep the show alive. There were strong competitors but no actual defined group, and that was where the All-Stars came in. The All-Stars were hence almost an alternative mascot where Kane no longer competed, so I've been told.

I believe Nagano would've won in Sasuke 21 if the gliding ring functioned properly. He was near his prime at the time.
Considering that Sasuke 24 had remained almost the same as Sasuke 23, he would've had a shot if not for the careless Jumping spider mistake. Had he been there, Takeda might've made it to final stage, too.
