Sorry if it being discussed before, but curious with you all. Should Backstream still exist for future tournaments, or it should be replaced by new/returning obstacle? If Yes, why? If No, why, and what obstacle you would put in its place?
As of myself, I made it clear in every thread that I came and had discussion about Backstream: Dump it, as in every SASUKE before Backstream exist, touching water = DQ. And now, you had to swim through it. It is a big no for me.
I would love if Metal Spin/Balance Tank took its place in future tournaments.

I like the Backstream and it should be kept because to me, it feels like the most special obstacle, due to it being the first ever to involve swimming water and it's even more super cool with the powerful jets making it hard.
After the next Kanzen is achieved though, it would be great if they modified the Backstream to a more difficult water obstacle, like the Water Walls from ANW where you have to open and rotate doors underwater, that certainly would be extraordinary! 👍🏼
However, the only disadvantage about it is that I honestly think that this is the obstacle in Stage 2 which Keitaro struggles with, as he failed it in 29 mainly due to forgetting to put the goggles on his eyes, then I think in 34 the reason why he timed out just after the Backstream is probably because he struggled with it again. Then in 36, he may have taken about 20 or more seconds to clear and in my opinion, it feels like Keitaro is a very bad swimmer, even though he's really fast at the Salmon Ladder and Spider Walk. I really hope that when it's safe to do so, Keitaro should train hard for the Backstream and also clear Stage 2 in the next tournament as I really want to see that happen.

That's more a disadvantage with Keitaro himself rather than the obstacle. It's hard to say because we haven't actually seen any of his Backstream attempts; the only one of his Stage 2 runs we've seen was 35 where he failed the Spider Drop. All Keitaro seems to train is rock climbing, I'm surprised he doesn't train swimming given that 3/4 of his Stage 2 fails have been attributed to the Backstream.
Me too; I reckon if he clears Stage 2 he has a strong chance of Total Victory as he's insanely fast on the Spider Climb and Salmon Ladder as I've seen on his instagram, and Stage 3 shouldn't be a problem for him unless he chokes on the Vertical Limit as even Ryo, who I never thought would ever fail Stage 3, failed it.

I feel like this thing isn't gonna leave like... ever at this rate. It's still causing problems and now it's something to train on. Shingo please... You may be the only all star to even get there, you've also gotten destroyed by it.

The reality of the backstream is that until that sucker breaks it will stay because it's probably one of the most expensive things in Stage 2 xD Despite the fact it was deeply controversial (SASUKE 29 Backstream Controversy was the first thing I ever saw happen 'live' in the fandom...) I actually don't mind it now - it has good synergy with the conveyor and the wall lifting to create a tense ending to Stage 2, and given the budget for obstacle replacement is like, 2 yen and some string, I'm happy for it to stay for the foreseeable future. Even if it did take Shingo out twice...

Personally don't mind water obstacles, but the Backstream should be replaced by another water obstacles, and preferably none with motors so Inui can spend that money on a new/original obstacle.

I hate it it’s boring to watch you have reverse conveyer and wall lift you don’t need a third time wasting obstacle being back metal spin that was much better obstacle

This thread has been made so many times. It's pretty much a mainstay, and owing to budget/ambition, it's doubtful that Inui would remove it. I don't expect it to go anytime soon.

I am sorry if it has been asked before but I just want to clarify - the obstacle course is temporary. So when Sasuke is over, they move the obstacles away and store them in parts somewhere?

I'm pretty sure they move it. I remember few years ago on Facebook that some SASUKE fans are visiting an empty Midoriyama Studio. His post is, "Where did everyone go?", so, yeah, it was stored somewhere and will be brought back when they had tournament again.
