Been wondering this for a while; everytime he's forced to wear a sleeveless top he tapes up his tattoos, and always wears a band on one of his upper arms. Random question, but it seems like he makes a concerted effort to hide them.

I guess because he got the tattoos during his days being rebel person *when his parents is still separated*? Probably that tattoos is permanent, so he make efforts to hide it.

Yeah possibly, they don't look that bad though. Also, wearing an upper arm band on one of your arms consistently can't be fun hahahah.

Never noticed. Is Japan more traditional and critical of tattoos? Never seen anybody over there with them.

I don't think so, Anastase frequently shows his tattoos and he lives in Japan despite not being a native

Tattoos are considered the mark of a yakuza or criminal in Japan - you can be barred from entering public baths or hot springs if you have any at all (and you don't cover them), at least in some establishments. Apparently this opinion is being modernised somewhat, but generally tattoos are associated heavily with the yakuza, even if they aren't those highly detailed full-body ones.

I suppose, Anastase doesn't hide his but then he's clearly not a native. I initially thought it had something to do with him being a director of Per-Adra and it maybe not looking too good on his professional circle, but the Yakuza statement would make much more sense.
