Better clear your internet history before the mrs. finds this topic and turns you into a mrs. as well.

Good suggestion, then I probablly definately wouldn't be taken seriously for Sasuke, and since kunoichi is probablly done for I'd be left behind. History deleted!!!

So, ran into a bit of a problem with the Slider Jump. I actually broke my arm finding out about it. Just kidding. I'm unbreakable. But yeah, problem. Here's a diagram: Here we have the Jumping Spider's Walls with the Slider Jump's rails on top of them. Our little stick man, Mike, is using the Salmon Ladder. Go Mike go! If the Slider Jump were built right there, there's a chance you could hit it when using the Salmon Ladder. Now, granted, you'd have to swing out about five feet, but for all I know, someone on this forum would do that when trying it. I guess I'm asking if this would bother anyone. And posting so you all know I haven't forgotten about the Slider Jump. Or you could put the Slider Jump on the other side of the Spider Walk.

I was waiting for someone to suggest that.
I need to keep everything relatively compact so I have room for more things. I have a limited area to build in.
Because the rest of our yard is being used, apparently..?

it looks like the slider jump would be to your back as you do the salmon ladder? I don't see a clearence issue there. I kick my feet out in front of me maybe 4' tops. To the back I swing maybe 1 or 2'?

Yeah, I was just double checking with everyone here (the people who actually train, at least).
The only other issue is that if the bar turns and you kick while trying to correct it, you may kick the spider climb walls.
It doesn't seem to be a terrible issue and it would still be there even if the Slider Jump came off the Jumping Spider walls (supports, yay).
So... looks like I'm building this now.
David, how far away is the net? I believe you said it's about four feet? Or... something?

well if you were in a plane looking down I think it would be 4', but the net begins higher than the bar hangs further away the lower down you go, so it's actually closer to 5 or 6' I belive. If you were to measure a perfectly horizontal line from the bar to where it touches the net, it would be about 5' I think. (the higher you jump the closer it is) or (the more verticle you travel, the less horizontal you have to travel.....that is unless the verticle movement is downward...then you have to travel MORE horizontal) ok I'm just making this cound more complicated than it is now!

you know what would be great for the log grip? Have a barrel hanging from some kind of electric motor that hoists you up a couple feet and then drops you over and over....it would be like and endless log grip and you could get REALLY solid on it training that way!

Yeah, I thought about that last night, only it was going to have a rope and you would "wind it up". Then, once you climbed on, something would turn and it would drop and raise you repeatedly.
