I'm restarting this baby and I'm gonna take suggestions! *GASP*
Since G4's game's controls are so random, I'm going to try to make mine... less random. I want to use the arrows and jump button for everything. So, basically, what I'm asking is how do you want to beat the obstacles?
For example, on the Sextuple Steps, you just jump from one step to another, all the way through. For the Log Grip, you have to press up repeatedly to hang on.
So, stage one:
Sextuple Steps - Done
Circle Hammer - ?
Log Grip - Done
Jumping Spider - Done
Half-pipe Attack - ?
Warped Wall - ?
Slider Jump - ?
Tarzan Rope - ?
BEGIN!

How hard would this game be?

Hard, but not because of bad controls, like G4's game.

quick question
Is it 2-D, as in the format of G4's game or 3-D, for obstacles such as the Halfpipe Attack?

My format is if you have 2-D I guess, idk
Circle Hammer - Press up and hold, jump pushes off and down stops you (pressing it too early can make you drop)
Half-pipe Attack - Tap up to run up, jump at perfect time to hold automatically, any sooner or later jumping will result in failure
Warped Wall - Use right to run, jump to get up, up to pull selves up
Slider Jump - Press jump to hold, press again to let go and up or down to get the net
Tarzan Rope - Jump to get rope and go to ladder net, up to hold on and go up.
My opinion, probably a bit complex though, especially Slider Jump

2-D. Of course. For the Circle Hammer, I like pressing and holding up, but I think I'll make it so that letting go of up makes you drop. You don't tap up to run, you hold left or right to run, so the half-pipe attack thing won't work, but holding right, then jumping onto the half-pipe, then jumping for the rope may work. Then you'd have to hold up to hang on and let go at the right time to hit the platform. Warped Wall - Perfect. Slider Jump - Perfect. Tarzan Jump - Perfect. Those aren't complex. I like them. Thank you.

What is this? Flash based?
Also, I'm thinking of making one myself, but it will be much more complicated since I'm thinking of using Ogre-3D or Blender for 3D graphics as well as water physics.

Mine is not Flash. Don't much care for it.
I've always thought that a 2-D game with 3-D graphics looks tacky. Mine is actually leaning a bit towards retro.

Ahh. I see.
Yup I think its a good idea. I'm also thinking about making my own during this summer when I have time to learn those programs. Right now, SAT II awaits me in June.

So, the game is coming along pretty well. Problems keep popping up and I keep fixing them, so things are getting more complicated than I anticipated. Screenies: Steps! Hang in there little ninja! WTF? Is he so short he has to climb?

Screen are looking good, need to fix that 3rd step issue on the way to Log Grip lol. Need to smooth them out a tad, it doesn't look like he has arms. But I do see small specks on the sides of him on the steps.

I actually like the big step on the way to the Log Grip. After all, there is a big step on the course and maybe someone can't jump that high. And I distorted these screen shots terribly. It doesn't actually look like that.

The drops are good, but that final path is a bit long for me, but it won't matter seeing as he'll fail before he'll reach halfway.

Well, the last part of the Log Grip, after the drops, is long like that.
And I don't quite remember, but I want to say he didn't fall. He still had a hold of the bottom indents.

Actually, it ends little earlier.
They have a stopper so that the log stops. The momentum bring the log to the landing area, then swings back to the beginning of the landing area.

I think it would be fine, but because of my super obsessed compulsive-ness... I moved the landing platform farther forward. Before. After. Is that better? Seriously. I want it to be as close as possible.
