Super Bowl going on and a show was teased about a mile long obstacle course race hosted by LeBron James called "The Million Dollar Mile".

This looks rad. And gloriously stupid. Its slightly crazy that we STILL havent had a proper reboot of an American Gladiators esque show. Broken Skull is probably closet.

TBS has used this format on many occasions and it's really enjoyable.
ESCAPE had some stages in this format where the athletes (including Shane Kosugi) gave your team a headstart
The current airing Banzuke successor Taiiku Kai has had many "Masked Sportsman" sections that follow this exact premise on different sports such as running, cross country skiing and snowboarding
TBS' other popular special All Star Thanksgiving has a marathon in this style nearly every year where all of the contestants are given a headstart on an Olympic runner (usually 4-6 minutes)
I am wholly looking forward to this.

Is there a video? It's been months now since they announced it, so maybe it's time for a sneak peek?!

Super excited, hopefully its better than the fluff-mess that was Titan Games. It actually looks fast-paced and interesting.

Tonight's premiere of Survivor had a new trailer that showed a bunch of obstacles. It'll probably pop up somewhere as we get closer to the premiere, which is exactly 5 weeks away.
The old trailer can still be seen on the CBS YouTube channel...

4 weeks ago, over a three hour block of Survivor and The World's Best, there was some sort of promo every other commercial break, and sometimes consecutive breaks. The following week only had a few promos. 2 weeks ago, there were also just a few, but they were new and focused on the elite athletes / chasers / defenders. Last week, it was just a mix of the old promos.

9 minute preview of a run.
There are 5 obstacles on the course, the exit obstacle, and the million dollar obstacle. Some amount of money goes in your bank based on how many course obstacles are completed. You can leave at any time and climb the exit obstacle to keep that money. If you complete 3 obstacles, you lock in a guaranteed 50K.

I'm excited for this show, but if the second episode doesn't change the course up, I'm out. Simple as that.

One of the earlier promos I linked the other day (that's now on YouTube) briefly showed three upper body obstacles that weren't in the preview.

PS: They're already switching(/rearranging the order of) the course for the second competitor. So that's probably the change you saw in the promo, Kane. It'll be the same every time. I won't be back.

It was entertaining but it also felt slow. I do give them credit for picking obstacle course specialists as defenders. I thought it was going to be famous athletes initially. I do question what happens when both the runner and defender are on the same obstacle. Do they need to wait for the other and just follow or what? Based on pacing, if a person makes it deep, it'll take up a big portion of the episode. Good sense of suspense though.

The first episode was okay, but I think I prefer the direct competition style of American Gladiators, and I KNOW I prefer anyone other than Tim Tebow as the host.

Tim Tebow hosting anything always reminds of this clip from around two weeks into his debut with GMA on ABC.
