On her facebook page Jessie Graff said that rolling thunder is like 30 pull ups. Is it really so hard. And what do you think about other obstacles, for example salmon ladder - 6 clapping pull ups, cliffhanger - 20 pull ups on fingerboard, final rope climb - 40 pull ups, warped wall - 10 box jumps or sprints - 20 yards. What do you think about it?

On her facebook page Jessie Graff said that rolling thunder is like 30 pull ups. Is it really so hard. And what do you think about other obstacles, for example salmon ladder - 6 clapping pull ups, cliffhanger - 20 pull ups on fingerboard, final rope climb - 40 pull ups, warped wall - 10 box jumps or sprints - 20 yards. What do you think about it? Like comparing the quality of drinking water to types of wood. It doesn't work. Mostly because of muscles targeted I suppose. Someone who fine technique but piss poor upper body strength can still climb a 10 meter rope for example. Also, you don't continuously pull-up on the rolling thunder. I'd imagine, from the little that I've seen, it requires more grip strength and less back work than pull ups. Obstacles tend to simply have more to take into consideration than exercises like pull ups. Furthermore: Cliffhanger is quite grip strength based, rather than pulling power. On the Salmon Ladder, you need to do much more than just a clapping pull up. I get what your getting at, but it doesn't quite work in my opinion. There could be someone out there who thinks the exact opposite of me though, and have supporting reasons.
