I've constantly heard these two companies come up surrounding the construction of ANW and its spinoffs, but I still don't understand what these companies are in relation to each other. Is Eccholine a European offshoot of ATS? Do they just build obstacles originally designed by ATS? Which came first? I'd just love to have this cleared up once and for all.

I think you don't understand at all, ATS is the obstacle builders for ANW and these ANW spinoffs, Eccholine is the production company that actually makes these television shows, A. Smith & Co for ANW is the better comparison to Eccholine than ATS is, ATS just designs and builds the course for them.

Just I often heard Eccholine come up in relation to course construction, so I had them jumbled with ATS in my head. To be fair though they are 2 separate entities that make NW spin offs independent of each other. Eccholine was the first to do it using ATS as their build team. Then ATS broke off knowing they could do it on their own and have made just about every NW spin off on their own. Eccholine only did the first few and had to get their own build team once ATS branched off. So I can understand why there is confusion. So while yes Rider is technically correct on how they are different from each other.. when it comes to NW spin offs.. it's a bit muddy. Both are technically builders in this case but it wasn't always that way. |
